As noted before, WWE is currently scheduled to be holding a main roster Premium Live Event (PLE) in Indianapolis, Indiana on the same day as AEW’s All Out 2025 event in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that there has been discussions within the broadcast industry over the last few days that WWE’s currently planned PLE for this September could end up being an extra and unique event that would air on ESPN. Johnson reported that the idea being this upcoming event would act as a preview of the type of programming WWE will bring to the network once their partnership officially starts in April of 2026.
Johnson reported that while WWE PLEs are currently licensed domestically to Peacock, there is no September event currently on the service’s schedule. The next WWE PLE event for Peacock is set for this October.
Johnson also reported that those spoken to stated WWE officials currently have plans to unveil this new PLE and where it will broadcast sometime this week.
Johnson also reported that ESPN declined to comment when reached by PWInsider about this upcoming event airing on their network.
In regards to the potential name for this upcoming WWE PLE, WrestleVotes reported that the event is currently expected to be called “Wrestlepalooza”, which was the same name of the classic series of events from ECW from 1995 to 2000.
