WWE News & Notes

This match was notable for the post-match brawl between The Vision, CM Punk, Knight, and Roman Reigns that ended with The Vision laying out Punk, Knight, and Reigns and “Big” Bronson Reed stealing Reigns’ shoes for the second week in a row.

WWE filed a new trademark for “The Vision” on August 2nd for wrestling and entertainment-related purposes to the United States Patent and Trademark Office. This was revealed to be the official name of Seth Rollins’ current group with Paul Heyman, Bron Breakker, and “Big” Bronson Reed.

TMZ reported that FOX will be airing a new Hulk Hogan based documentary special titled The Real Hulk Hogan on Tuesday, August 12th on their network. It was reported upcoming special will be one hour in length and will air from 8:00-9:00PM EST. Those spoken to within WWE reportedly stated that they believe Orton will push to make this happen.

In a recent interview with The Maggie and Perloff Show podcast, Randy Orton gave his thoughts about WWE’s recently released WWE Unreal docuseries on Netflix. Orton stated “The old school in me doesn’t love it. But, I had to learn over the last few years especially, you gotta change with the times. I think there’s a large amount of fans out there that are very curious and they want to know behind the scenes and how we do what we do and make it look so effortless, two, three, four nights a week, live television. But, there’s a part of me that also misses just the magic. When I was a kid, the number one thing that people would ask my father and kids at school would ask me, ‘Is it real? Is it real?’ Of course, everyone knows now it’s entertainment and we’re not trying to say that it’s not. But, my job is to go out there in that ring and get you to kind of suspend your belief while you’re in that arena and make you believe that what you’re seeing, that there’s real emotion behind it and I think that there is real emotion behind it in most cases. We’re like actors in that sense where you find that place and you get to that place before you go through that curtain and I know at least I do but, it’s hard and honestly, I don’t love the idea but I’m also — it’s intriguing and I think that there’s a large group of fans that are gonna love seeing what it takes to put on a WWE show.” (Transcript h/t: Fightful.com)

As noted before, WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella suffered a breast implant injury on the July 28th episode of WWE RAW during her Eight-Women Tag Team match on the show. In a recent episode of The Nikki & Brie Show podcast, Bella provided an update stating “I literally told Brie all of this in private. When she said it live about my implant, I was like, ‘Are you kidding me?’ Then it’s everywhere. I keep getting text messages. I was backstage and everyone kept coming up, ‘Is that okay?’ I’ll know later. I don’t know yet if it exploded or not. It still seems intact. It’s swollen, it hurts. I think it might be fine. I can’t believe I’m loudly talking about this, but hey, it’s 2025, whatever. Send well wishes to my fake boob, thank you.” (Transcript h/t: Fightful.com)
