The Dudley Boyz & The Hardy Boyz Make Appearance
Sunday’s WWE SummerSlam 2025 Night 2 event at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey featured The Hardy Boyz (Matt & Jeff Hardy) and WWE Hall of Famers The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray & D-Von Dudley) making an appearance.
Prior to the start of the WWE Tag Team Championship TLC match, Michael Cole ring announcer Alicia Taylor stated that in honor of the 25th anniversary of the first ever TLC match at SummerSlam 2000, two of the teams who competed in that match are in attendance tonight. Taylor then introduced The Dudley Boyz and The Hardy Boyz who were at ringside.

The first ever TLC match also featured Edge & Christian who currently work in AEW under the ring names of Adam “Cope” Copeland and Christian Cage.
Candice LeRae Suffers Potential Injury at SummerSlam 2025 Night 2 Show
Sunday’s WWE SummerSlam 2025 Night 2 event also featured Candice LeRae suffering a potential knee and/or elbow injury.
During the WWE Tag Team Championship TLC match, Candice LeRae ran into the ring to interfere to help out DIY and started to climb the ladder. This led to B-Fab getting into the ring and pulled LeRae off the ladder. This led to Nikki Cross getting involved and after some action, LeRae managed to get back onto the ladder and started to climb it again and reached for the titles. This then led to Montez Ford kicking Tomasso Ciampa who knocked into Johnny Gargano who knocked into the ladder sending it tipping over and LeRae falling through a ladder bridge on the outside and landing hard on her knee and elbow.

This led to the match referee and a ringside doctor immediately checking on LeRae and after a while called for more officials and medics to come out to attend to LeRae who remained on the ground for the remainder of the match.
Becky Lynch Debuts New Entrance Theme Song at SummerSlam 2025
Sunday’s WWE SummerSlam 2025 Night 2 event also featured Becky Lynch debuting a new entrance theme song.
This new theme song is from rock band The Wonder Years.

Lyra Valkyria Loses to Lynch & No Longer Can Challenge for Women’s IC Title
Sunday’s WWE SummerSlam 2025 Night 2 event also featured Becky Lynch defeating Lyra Valkyria in a No Count Outs, No DQs match to retain the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship.
This match featured Bayley interfering near the end of it leading to her accidentally striking Valkyria resulting in Lynch hitting a Manhandle Slam to Valkyria to retain her title.

As a result of her loss, Valkyria can no longer challenge for the title as long as Lynch is the champion.
WWE SummerSlam 2025 Attendance Numbers
Sunday’s WWE SummerSlam 2025 Night 2 event also featured former WWE co-CEO Stephanie McMahon making a guest appearance.
Following the Intercontinental Championship match between AJ Style and Dominik Mysterio, McMahon came out to the ring. McMahon announced that the official attendance for tonight’s show was 60,561.
McMahon also announced that the total for this weekend’s two-night SummerSlam events was 113,722 making this year’s event the biggest ever in SummerSlam history.
