WWE Reshoots Final Segment of 8/22 WWE SmackDown Show for USA Network Broadcast
Friday’s WWE SmackDown show’s live broadcast on Netflix featured a show closing segment involving SmackDown GM Nick Aldis stopping John Cena backstage and informed him that he has heard from Brock Lesnar. This led to Logan Paul suddenly appearing from out of frame and laid out Cena with a sucker punch as the show went to a close.
During the USA Network’s broadcast of the show several hours later, a different ending to the show was aired. This featured the same setup of Aldis informing Cena about Lesnar but a different ending involving Paul being seen coming up from behind Aldis and then punched Cena laying him out.

Clash in Paris Ticket Sales Reportedly Moving Slower Than Expected
Ticket sales for WWE’s upcoming Clash in Paris event on August 31st at the Paris La Défense Arena in Nanterre, France reportedly has been moving a lot slower than expected, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Dave Meltzer reported that WWE’s upcoming event is currently far from being sold out. Meltzer reported that the most expensive seats have been the hardest for WWE to sell meaning they they did overprice the market at the high end. Meltzer also reported that the most expensive seats are usually the ones to go first when tickets go on sale for a big event.
Meltzer reported that ticket sales for Clash in Paris did start picking up in the last few weeks once WWE started announcing matches.
The word among French fans reportedly is that they bought tickets to last year’s Backlash 2024 event in Lyons at very high prices but many were not willing to spend that kind of money on tickets again for a WWE PLE for the reason why Clash in Paris ticket sales have been much slower.
Another reason reportedly is due to Clash in Paris taking place on a Sunday while last year’s Backlash event took place on a Saturday meaning some families didn’t want their kids to miss the first day of school had they needed to stay the night in Paris after the Clash in Paris event.
Meltzer reported that the current belief is had WWE not ran a PLE event last year in France and held it on a Saturday instead of Sunday, then Clash in Paris would have been an easy sell out even with the show needing to sell around triple the amount of tickets that Backlash 2024 did due to the larger venue.
