AEW All Out 2025 Media Scrum: AEW Ticket Pricing Designed to be “Very Family Friendly”, Copeland & Cage vs. FTR Set To Open All Out 2025, Interest in Running Major Event in U.S. in Spring 2027, All Out Start Time Being Pushed Back, Wardlow Injury & All Out Plans Update

AEW CEO Tony Khan held a media scrum on Thursday to promote this Saturday’s AEW All Out 2025 event at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Some of the notable highlights included:

  • On the topic of ticket sales, Khan stated that this year’s event will be most-attended event in All Out history.
  • On the topic of ticket pricing and escalating prices elsewhere in reference to WWE’s rising ticket prices for show, Khan stated “Well, absolutely, AEW’s ticket pricing is designed to be very family-friendly and it has been that way since the very beginning. Everybody’s been involved in AEW from the start will tell you that we always wanted to maintain affordable ticket prices for the fans, and particularly to bring families and young fans to the show, and make it accessible for fans of all backgrounds, of all ages, and I think it’s really exciting for us that we’re getting some good feedback about that…
  • On the topic of AEW potentially running a major event in the United States in the Spring of 2027 when WWE goes to Saudi Arabia for WrestleMania 43, Khan stated “I have a lot of interest in it and I can promise we’re gonna run a huge event in the spring of 2027. I think spring 2027 is gonna be a great time for AEW. We’re still gonna be in the peak of this massive media deal that we’ve done with Warner Bros. Discovery. We’re gonna be delivering great shows… There’s gonna be a huge pay-per-view for sure, and one pay-per-view I can tell you is gonna be huge in spring of 2027 that has done huge things for us in AEW and I think some really historic things in pro-wrestling is AEW Revolution. We’ll have a huge Revolution… People ask about the spring of 2027, I can promise we’ll have a huge AEW Revolution and a lot of big plans for then and obviously very focused right now on 2025. That’s looking very far ahead but, there’s definitely some potential for us to do some big thing in the spring of 2027…
  • On the topic of Adam Copeland and Christian Cage, Khan stated that Copeland and Cage are two of the best people he’s worked with and officially revealed that their tag match against FTR will be the opening match at All Out 2025.
  • On the topic of AEW Saturday Tailgate Brawl pre-show and the potential of doing more of these television specials in the future, Khan stated that it would be determined to see how this broadcast performs on TNT and HBO Max but he hopes to have more opportunities like this in the future.
  • On the topic of changing locations for certain AEW events after establishing annual traditional locations for them, Khan stated “I think that, to be fair, it’s worked well, to try some different things, and still maintain our tradition of running great events in these same markets that have done very well, we’re very loyal to, key AEW city, that it performs very well. But, we have routed things differently than ever before and are trying some different venues and have built some — I hope — some new traditions that will go very well. I think it’ll be really exciting to end the year and have a different holiday show in Chicago with AEW Worlds End for example… I think it’s gonna be really, really cool to have the same great cities that we are very loyal to, to keep going to the same cities with major events. But also rotating things a bit and trying some different things that are all working very well; that it seems to be doing very well.
  • On the topic of Brody King wearing an “Abolish ICE” shirt at Grand Slam Mexico and AEW differentiating itself from WWE, Khan stated “It’s really important to note that the wrestlers in AEW are presented very much so as their authentic selves. In the case of Brody King and Hangman Page, that’s who those guys are. That’s them being themselves. I respect Hangman Page, I respect Brody King. AEW is a wrestling organization, and we present wrestling. I want wrestling fans from all over the world and all different perspectives. That’s one of the things that makes wrestling really great. It brings people from all walks of life together.” Khan also gave his thoughts about him going to a wrestling event with his dad, Shad Khan, in Philadelphia and noticing all the different backgrounds of people in the arena. Khan stated “One of the things that is great about pro wrestling is people from all different walks of life come together and share the experience one of the things that I believe, and that is great about AEW is the wrestlers are presenting their authentic perspective that is true to them, but also the wrestling company being a place where all the fans can come and watch the wrestling. That’s the focus of the show. I employ Hangman Page and Brody King because they are awesome wrestlers. The thing on the marquee is wrestling. When the fans come in, I want them to know that is the focus of the show and that’s what we’re putting on. The wrestlers are themselves and that’s part of what makes the show great. Whether everyone agrees with everything every wrestler says or not is not the point of the show to me; it’s a great wrestling show.
  • On the topic of AEW pushing back the start time of All Out 2025 to earlier in the day instead of its usual night time start, Khan stated “I am very excited for the opportunity to have this show this Saturday afternoon. I thought it was the best decision for our fans. We’ve had great success with the last few AEW pay-per-views with the early start time. Forbidden Door did very well, and we did some of our best numbers ever with All In, which set great business milestones for us. I think we can make it three great shows and three very successful shows in a row. I can already tell you this show is going to be a very successful business venture, and I think it’s going to be a great wrestling show and keep this run of great pay-per-views going. It was the right decision for the fans to put the time here and for us, being in the pay-per-view business, to continue this run of great shows. Making these adjustments based on the wrestling landscape and based on our metrics, we thought this would be our best chance to deliver our best numbers, while still delivering a great show to the fans. It’s worked well for us, and I think it will work well for us this Saturday afternoon.
  • On the topic of the reports of Wardlow’s recent injury and plans for him to wrestle against Hangman Adam Page for the AEW World title at All Out 2025, Khan confirmed that Wardlow had recently suffered an injury. Khan also stated that it wasn’t accurate that Wardlow was going to challenge Hangman Page for the AEW title at All Out and that was never the plan. Khan stated that the outlet who reported that had posted a retraction and got the accurate information out and reached out to Kyle Fletcher privately about it. Khan stated the plan was always to have Fletcher challenge Page for the title and Wardlow was going to be very involved in the television leading to All Out before the injury.
