As noted before, Andrade was released earlier this month from WWE and is believed to have had at least one wellness policy violation during his second run in the company.
Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources within WWE stated that there was frustration that Andrade’s English never got better during his second run in the company.
One source spoken to reportedly stated that there was a “buyer’s remorse” feeling over WWE officials had thought bringing him in from AEW would be huge since talent that had come in from AEW like Cody Rhodes and CM Punk were received so well.
WWE officials reportedly had felt that he would follow similarly with their fan base due to he came directly off AEW television and was in the mix with AEW’s top stars in the Continental Classic tournament.
Fightful Select reported that they were never told from their sources that Andrade’s English issues was a factor in his release. It was reported that this issue was something that never came up in conversations with their sources close to the situation.
