Update:
WWE NXT talent Jazmyn Nyx, real name Jade Gentile, provided an update on Instagram stating that the reason why she turned down WWE’s offer for a potential new three-year deal was due to it “wasn’t going to cut it for me financially.”
“I kind of want to just set the record straight that I am not re-signing with WWE. This was a personal decision I had to make for myself and for my future. Personally, the contract that they were offering me for the next three years just wasn’t going to cut it for me financially and that’s OK.
I kind of just wanted to give a back story of everything. I was playing professional soccer in Iceland and then I got recruited obviously to WWE, which I left everything out there to come here for this opportunity, which I’m very, very grateful for.
There’s been a lot of opportunities that I’ve had to turn down and pass up, but now that I am out of the job, I can kind of explore these opportunities more and take them more seriously. Love my Jazmyn Nyx fans. Thank you guys so much for supporting me and having my back for the past three years. It’s been an amazing journey and I will miss you guys.
And no guys I will not be making an OF 😂”

Tuesday’s WWE NXT show at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida featured a backstage angle involving Jazmyn Nyx being laid out by an unseen attacker and Fatal Influence’s Jacy Jayne & Fallon Henley showing up being initially concerned. Jayne then told Henley that it was time they had dropped her from the group and “only the strong survives.”
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that the reason for the backstage angle on the show was due to Nyx is currently expected to be leaving WWE once her contract expires.
Johnson reported that WWE officials had offered Nyx a new contract but she turned it down. This reportedly led to talks for a potential new deal between the two sides to break down. Johnson reported that once her current contract expires, she will be free to wrestle anywhere she wants afterwards.
Nyx has been signed with WWE since 2022 and has been primarily working for their NXT brand.
