As noted before, Joe Tessitore had announced earlier this month during an interview with ESPN’s SportsCenter that the John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar match would be main eventing WWE’s Wrestlepalooza event on September 20th at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Thursday’s episode of The Pat McAfee Show featured co-host Pat McAfee revealing that Cena vs. Lesnar will now be opening Wrestlepalooza instead. A graphic was then shown on the screen featuring the match graphic containing the text of “John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar Kicks Off The ESPN-WWE Era.”
