Killer Kross on Running an Angle Losing Your Job Being Something He Wouldn’t Do, His Plans to Return to TV Wrestling, Him & Scarlett Not Being a Package Deal, & Original WWE Creative Plans for Him Post-SummerSlam 2025 Were “Really Big”

As noted before, Karrion Kross and Scarlett’s contracts with WWE expired this past August. Following their departures, Kross and Scarlett have been using their prior ring names of Killer Kross and Scarlett Bordeaux for their post-WWE careers.

Denise Salcedo held a recent interview with Kross and Scarlett. One of the topics discussed included Kross’ thoughts about many people online still believing that his departure from WWE is just a “work.”

“There are hundreds of people who have been coming to the table, a lot of them angry because they were hoping it was a work and there would be a payoff. I would never work somebody like that. To me, it’s not in good taste. Running an angle where you lose your job and upset people is not something I would do. I understand why people thought it was going to be a work, they were hoping it was going to be a work.”

Scarlett responded stating that several of their co-workers also thought that their departures was a work, which Kross responded back showing a text message from a co-worker and stating:

“A lot of the guys didn’t know. We were like, ‘Let’s see what happens. Maybe they’ll recover the situation.’ We remained somewhat quiet about it.”

In a separate recent interview with The Casual Conversations with The Classic podcast, Kross gave his thoughts about the support he has received from fans since his departure from WWE and his current plans to return back to TV wrestling in the future.

“Man, it almost prompts me to cry when they come to me crying. I’m like, ‘You’re killing my gimmick, brother!’ [laughs]. It’s very, very touching. Between the documentary, between my life story and the book. And then them seeing my career play out on TV and where we’re at right now, this is just a very special, unique time in my life.

I plan to do more. I plan to be back on TV somewhere, at some time, some place. But in a really crazy way. It won’t go down like this, but if this was literally the end and I never did anything ever again — Oh my god, man. What a ride. It has been so awesome to be accepted like this from people all over the world. For me, it’s not just wrestling. I feel like people know what’s going on in my life. They’re not just talking to Karrion Kross or Killer Kross, they’re talking to Kevin. And I never thought I’d be in a place where I was comfortable enough to allow that in, but I am. And, like, it feels special. It feels really special.”

Kross also gave his thoughts about if him and Scarlett are a package deal when it comes to them signing new contracts for their wrestling careers.

“Not necessarily. Her and I, as long as the deal is fair and with respect and can be discussed with logic and rational communication, we’re open to working in and out of whatever is being offered. But like, if you come to me and you offer me something and you tell me that we’re going to exclude all of this information and you were to say to me that the revenue I’m generating for the company is not relevant to the conversation, well, some of my friends are dead or have broken their necks doing this and I don’t want to be laid up somewhere in a hospital bed one day thinking about terms that I accepted when you told me that and I didn’t feel comfortable with it. So like, her and I are, you know, I guess just the direct answer would be not necessarily, no.”

Kross also gave his thoughts about the original creative plans for him post-SummerSlam 2025 in WWE would have been something really big and something fans would have enjoyed.

“The creative we were supposed to have on Monday Night Raw got killed on Sunday. The creative involved other people. I would love to tell people that want to know, but that idea could still be salvaged for that other person involved, so I don’t want to jack up their creative talking about it, but it was something really big and it was something people would have enjoyed. I can tell you that right now. Maybe one day we can do that creative and we can revisit this conversation.”
