Cody Rhodes Comments on Him Being Interested in Running WWE After Triple H
A recent episode of ESPN’s Unsportsmanlike show featured current Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Rhodes’ thoughts about his interest in potentially running WWE after WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque in the future.
“I think there’s starting to become a fight for it, and I didn’t see that at first. I thought, well, obviously I’m the best candidate. I don’t know if I’m actually the best candidate. I felt like I had some experience and I’d be interested in something like that but also, it’s very clear that CM Punk is really great at helping develop young talent. He probably has a knack for it more than anybody. Seth Rollins is a little bit more rough around the edges, but probably would be an outstanding boss when it comes down to it. I’d love to throw my name in the hat. I don’t know if I’m ready to do it officially yet, but I like the fact that there’s the three of us, plus there’s tons of other people. Bayley, Roman (Reigns) will always have a say. You’ve got an older locker room right now, so eventually those positions, see if you can do good because it’s not always booking. The industry is not easy, and Triple H doing a great job, so thankfully we have him for quite some time.”

AJ Lee Comments on Her Recent WWE Return & How She Had Felt Comfortable Staying Retired
A recent episode of ESPN’s SportsCenter show featured AJ Lee as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Lee’s thoughts about when her return to WWE came to fruition.
“It’s sort of been something that was in the air for the past couple of years as an option. However, when I retired, I was very comfortable staying retired, and I felt very complete in my career. I’ve always set to do something, to embark on a new journey, it has to feel brand new and feel like I’m needed and exciting and kind of scary. Starting this new chapter on ESPN feels like a whole new mountain the company needs to climb, and I was flattered that they believed that I could help draw eyeballs in that way. Also, Becky is very interesting to me. I think she’s wonderful in the ring and we have a lot of similarities. She would not be an easy person to get back in the ring with. That was exciting.”
Lee also gave her thoughts about what the hardest part of her return has been.
“Quite honestly, managing my anxiety. I get a little nervous with the tension and I’ve been very comfortable as a writer and producer the past ten years, being behind the scenes and creating worlds where I don’t have to be the art. I kind of liked being the artist. Now, to be both and create this cool world and have people looking at me is a little stressful, but I am very good at managing my anxiety now, and I can balance it and keep myself even. The mental part has been the biggest hurdle so far.”
