Mysterio is currently scheduled to face off against El Hijo del Vikingo for the AAA Mega Championship at this month’s Worlds Collide event.
Nikki Bella Comments on Original Plans for Her Match Against Becky Lynch at Clash in Paris Being Changed
This past August’s WWE Clash in Paris event in Nanterre, France featured Becky Lynch defeating Nikki Bella to retain her WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship.
A recent episode of The Nikki & Brie Show podcast featured co-host Nikki Bella giving her thoughts about her match against Lynch and how the original plans for their match had changed.
“So from Birmingham until I arrived in Paris, I didn’t go home because I knew, okay, by the time I go [from] England back to [San Francisco International Airport], then have to do SFO back to Paris, I would really be home for two days, crazy jet lagged and to prepare for a match that originally was going to be on Raw, that got moved to the PLE,” Bella said while discussing her preparation for the match. “I’m like, I have to stay overseas and just prep, kick the jet lag out.”
Bella also gave her thoughts about how she only found out about the change one week before and believes that the original plans for the card for Clash in Paris only had one women’s match scheduled. This match would have been the Stephanie Vaquer vs. Naomi match for the WWE Women’s World Championship prior to it being pulled due to Naomi’s pregnancy announcement.
Bella also gave her thoughts about getting to wrestle for the first time in Paris in her wrestling career being a dream come true.
Bella also gave her thoughts about her recent comeback to WWE.
“This is a part of life and coming back. Things don’t happen overnight. And if you look at other comebacks, like, I’m not here to do a one-off and go to the [Performance Center] and train the same match for five hours every day to perform that 15 minutes that I just put 30 hours in.
I’m doing it as I have so much passion and love for this business. And that’s why I was like, I’m not going to let people take away of how much fun I had out there and how I loved every second. I was like in heaven. Like, I truly love wrestling. That’s why I’m here. That’s why I’m traveling every week.”

Kurt Angle Comments on His Final WWE Run Being “I Looked Like Crap”
A recent episode of the Six Feet Under with The Undertaker podcast featured WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Angle’s thoughts about him feeling that he “looked like crap” for his final run of his wrestling career in WWE in 2017.
“When I came back, I was wrestling really good, but Vince had a different idea. He wanted to induct me into the Hall of Fame first, before I wrestled. So I did the Hall of Fame and then Vince came to me and said, ‘Hey, we want to make you the GM of Raw.’ And I said, ‘Vince, I want to wrestle.’ He said, ‘We’ll get to that.’ So he makes me GM of Raw. And during this time, my knees are arthritic and they’re getting tighter and I’m less active. And for eight months, I didn’t do anything. Then all of a sudden he’s like, ‘Kurt, I want you to wrestle.’ That’s going to be a problem [laughs].
Literally, when I got in there, I looked like crap. I mean, I couldn’t do anything. It made me want to retire earlier than I wanted to. That’s why I retired with Baron Corbin at WrestleMania [35]. Because I didn’t want people to look at me and say, ‘Gosh, he used to be great, but now…’ I didn’t want that. So I decided this is it.”
Angle also gave his thoughts about how he has been feeling health-wise since his double knee replacement surgery in 2022.
“I feel pretty good. The only thing that bothers me now is I have motor skill problems. My hands shake, because my neck is so bad. And there’s nothing I can do about it. My neck naturally fused together, I think I already told you that. So I don’t have any more discs in between my vertebrae. It just all fused together, it’s all bone. I went to have disc replacement surgery, and the doctor took an MRI. He said, ‘You don’t have any discs.'”
