Samoa Joe Says He’s “Most Likely” Done with Wrestling When His AEW Contract Expires

A recent episode of the SHAK Wrestling podcast featured Samoa Joe as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Joe’s thoughts about his current plans to retire from his in-ring wrestling career once his AEW contract expires.

“I’d say most likely. Honestly, for a lot of reasons, most of them are responsible. You never want to outstay your welcome in this industry. I’ve been fortunate that I’ve been involved for 25 years now. The other thing too is, I think many of us want to preserve what we can of our health. It is something that is probably the most likely scenario, but it is an unusual work and unusual opportunities come up, so we’ll see.”

Joe also gave his thoughts about if he has a specific date in mind for his retirement from wrestling.

“No, not at all. It might be a surprise. It might just be one day I’m gone and we’ll leave it at that. I’m not as ceremonial as everybody else.”

Jon Moxley Comments on DC & AEW Crossover

As noted before, AEW announced earlier this month that they have partnered with DC Comics for an upcoming special two-part crossover comics event.

The Sportster held a recent interview with Jon Moxley. One of the topics discussed included Moxley’s thoughts about the upcoming AEW and DC Comics crossover event.

“It’s pretty surreal, and to be in a real DC comic book is pretty wild, and it shows how much the fans have latched on to the characters they see on AEW every week. So it’s a pretty good thing for fans.”
