Tony Khan Comments on Mercedes Mone’s Indies Bookings Shows Her Love of Wrestling

Z100 New York held a recent interview with AEW CEO Tony Khan. One of the topics discussed included Khan’s thoughts about Mercedes Mone’s indies bookings outside of AEW and how it shows her love of wrestling.

“With all the commitments Mercedes has taken on, I think it’s really impressive. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, that shows it’s not about pure greed and money for Mercedes because a lot of these places she’s wrestling, Winnipeg, Canada, Denmark, they’re not the highest paying places. She’s not really making money from these. She loves wrestling. She loves building up companies, she loves meeting new young stars and she really cares about the craft and the sport of wrestling.”

Hangman Page Comments on Samoa Joe’s Post-Match Attack Attack on Him at WrestleDream 2025

As noted before, this past Saturday’s AEW WrestleDream 2025 event in St. Louis, Missouri featured Samoa Joe and The Opps turning heel and attacked Hangman Adam Page following Page’s match with Joe for the AEW World Championship.

Following the show, AEW released a backstage video featuring Page responding to Joe and The Opps post-match attack and him wanting revenge for what Joe did to him.

“Joe, have you lost your mind? Have you lost your mind? In the twilight of your career, I gave you a shot and you failed. You’re embarrassed, have you lost your mind? I warned you, did I not? I warned you. Joe, when I find you, I’m going to ruin your god damn life.”

MVP Comments on His Talks with Batista To Turn His Life Story Into A Movie

A recent episode of the Marking Out with MVP and Dwayne Swayze podcast featured co-host MVP revealing that he has had talks with former WWE wrestler Dave Bautista to produce a potential new movie based on his life story.

“The short answer is, yes, I have considered it many times, but I’m one of the laziest hard working people you will ever meet and I have not begun that manuscript because I don’t want a ghost writer. I want to write it myself, just like Chris Jericho, Mick Foley, and Bret Hart. They actually wrote their own books.

I have thought about it and many people have asked me about it. It’s something I want to do. I actually talked to my good friend Dave Bautista. We’ve talked about, with his production company, taking the step to turn my life story into a movie. It’s something that I trust Dave to do it. I wouldn’t trust anybody with it because my life story is not PG. It’s rated R. Rated X, legit. We have to get PG-13 at minimum. It’s something Dave and I talked about, and it’s on the backburner.

My life is a movie, a movie in the making. From my teenage years in Miami as a graffiti artist/gang member, becoming an armed robber and going to prison. Nine and a half years in prison and all the bullshit I survived and saw in there. Coming out, being a bouncer and bodyguard on south beach and selling weed and steroids to support my wrestling habit. Going on to eventually making it as a professional wrestler.

It’s been talked about many times, I just haven’t done it yet. Eventually, hopefully, before this ticker gives out, we’ll get it done. Dave, can we get together and talk aboout this at some point?”
