As noted before, Ridge Holland, real name Luke Menzies, announced on Monday that he will be leaving WWE once his contract expires on November 14th due to it not being renewed. Holland has been out of action since this past September due to a lisfranc injury he suffered at an Impact! tapings for TNA Wrestling.
Fightful Select reported that WWE paying for Holland’s rehab after his contract expires is not some sort of good will gesture on WWE’s end and instead just the company’s way of preventing a situation that could have led to a potential successful lawsuit from Holland had they not paid for it.
It was reported that their sources confirmed reports that Holland was making “NXT money” for his current deal with WWE. Holland’s original main roster contract reportedly was up in November of 2024 and he was offered a one-year extension for around $200,000 less than what he had been making before. Holland reportedly had accepted this deal and his current contract was set to expire in mid-November for its new expiration date.
In regards to Holland’s work in TNA, it was reported that Holland was not paid extra for his bookings in TNA leading up to his injury there.
