Britt Baker has been absent from AEW since this past November. During her time away from AEW, Baker has been keeping in physical shape for a potential return while reports of her trying to get out of her contract to join WWE were debunked.
Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Baker recently removed all references to AEW from her social media profile.
Meltzer speculated that following Baker not making a surprise return at AEW’s Dynamite show in Pittsburgh this past September, he took that as a sign that she likely was not going to be used again in AEW. Meltzer also speculated that the reason for Baker not appearing on that show might be due to AEW officials believing that she was headed to WWE once her contract expires and made the decision to not use her anymore.
Baker has been signed with AEW since the company’s founding in 2019.
