John Cena’s final match for his current retirement tour for his wrestling career will be taking place at WWE’s Saturday Night’s Main Event show on December 13th in Washington, D.C.
Dave Meltzer reported in a special preview edition of this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources stated that WWE officials currently have scheduled for Gunther to be Cena’s final opponent.
Meltzer reported that those spoken to stated that WWE’s internal listing for their December 13th Saturday Night Main Event show currently lists Gunther vs. Cena as the only match planned for the show.
Meltzer also reported that two sources spoken to stated that the current plan is for a tournament to be announced and possibly by WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque. The winner of the tournament reportedly would go on to face Cena for Cena’s retirement match, which is currently planned to be Gunther.
