Syuri Wins IWGP Women’s Title

Monday’s NJPW King of Pro Wrestling 2025 event at the Ryogoku Sumo Hall featured Syuri defeating Sareee to become the new IWGP Women’s Champion.

This was Syuri’s second IWGP Women’s Championship victory in her Stardom and NJPW career. Syuri also became the first wrestler in NJPW history to win the IWGP Women’s title twice.

NJPW The New Beginning USA 2026 Announced for February 2026 in New Jersey

Monday’s NJPW King of Pro Wrestling 2025 event also featured NJPW announcing that they will be holding their next event in the United States called New Beginning USA 2026 on February 26, 2026 at the Cure Insurance Arena in Trenton, New Jersey.

This will be NJPW’s first The New Beginning USA event since 2022.

EVIL Wins NEVER Openweight Title & Aaron Wolf Makes Surprise Appearance and Challenges EVIL for NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 20

Monday’s NJPW King of Pro Wrestling 2025 event also featured EVIL defeating Boltin Oleg to become the new NEVER Openweight Champion.

Following the match, EVIL called for the rest of HOUSE OF TORTURE to come out to the ring, which they did. This led to all of HOUSE OF TORTURE attacking Oleg which caused several Young Lions to rush to the ring trying to break it up to no avail. This led to Aaron Wolf running out and quickly dispatched several HoT members before confronting EVIL. This led to a tense standoff between Wolf and EVIL with DOUKI and Don Fale looking on that ended with some angry words by EVIL and HoT walking away.

In a follow-up segment, NJPW English commentator Chris Charlton announced that Wolf had made some statements backstage following his appearance and issued a challenge to EVIL for a match at Wrestle Kingdom 20 on January 4, 2026 at the Tokyo Dome.

Yota Tsuji Wins IWGP Global Title

Monday’s NJPW King of Pro Wrestling 2025 event also featured Yota Tsuji defeating Gabe Kidd to become the new IWGP Global Heavyweight Champion.

This was Tsuji’s second IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship victory in his NJPW career.
