WWE NXT talent Ridge Holland announced earlier today on Instagram that his contract will not be renewed and will be leaving WWE once it expires on November 14th.
Holland also stated that WWE will still be paying for his rehab for his lisfranc injury but his guaranteed pay will end which is an issue for him since he won’t be able to work for at least another six months.
Holland also stated that he is unsure about the future of his wrestling career but he is planning to launch a new online coaching business during his current abscense from wrestling.
“I’ve been informed that WWE will not be renewing my contract when it ends on November 14th. WWE are still going to cover my rehab from injury but my guaranteed pay will end, quite frustrating to say the least as I cannot work for another 6 months due to the aforementioned injury, with a family of 5 to support.
My career with WWE has been blighted by misfortune but I’m still thankful and grateful for the opportunity and experience. The shining light that has always kept me going is the HUGE support from a handful of special human beings. Thank you.
I’m unsure what lies ahead of me in terms of wrestling but going forward I will be working hard to heal up and in that time I will be launching my own online coaching business…..so stay tuned. Cheers”
Prior to his announcement, Holland had been signed with WWE since May of 2018. Holland primarily worked for WWE’s NXT brand outside of a stint on the main roster from 2021 to 2023. During his time in WWE, Holland also made a couple of appearances for TNA as part of WWE’s current working relationship between the two but Holland’s time in TNA was cut short after suffering a lisfranc injury this past September.
