Samoa Joe vs. Hangman Page for AEW World Title and “Timeless” Toni Storm vs. Kris Statlander for AEW Women’s World Titles Matches Set for AEW WrestleDream 2025

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite 6 Year Anniversary show in Hollywood, Florida featured two new matches announced for the card of WrestleDream 2025, which takes place on October 18th at the Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, Missouri.

The first new match announced was an AEW World Championship match of Samoa Joe vs. Hangman Adam Page (c).

This new match was setup following a confrontation between Joe and Page after their Trios victory with Powerhouse Hobbs against Death Riders. This confrontation quickly turned heated and then physical resulting in AEW officials and security running out to break it up. In follow-up segments, Page issued a challenge to Joe for his AEW World title at WrestleDream and Joe accepted making it official.

The second new match announced was an AEW Women’s World Championship match of “Timeless” Toni Storm vs. Kris Statlander (c).

This new match was setup following Storm issuing a challenge after her singles victory against Tay Melo and for Statlander to name the date and place. In a follow-up segment, Statlander was interviewed backstage by Renee Paquette and accepted Storm’s challenge making it official.
