IYO SKY Reflects on Her Match with Mayu Iwatani at Marigold Grand Destiny 2025

Sunday’s Grand Destiny 2025 event for Marigold in Tokyo, Japan featured IYO SKY defeating Mayu Iwatani in a singles match for the main event of the show.

Following the show, SKY reflected on Instagram about her return appearance for Marigold and her match against Iwatani.

Rich Swann TNA Contract Status Update

As noted before, Rich Swann made his surprise return to TNA Wrestling this past August. Prior to his return, Swann had been away from the company since August of 2024 due to his suspension from his disorderly intoxication arrest in June of 2024.

Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that Swann is currently working without a contract in TNA. Those spoken to reportedly stated that Swann is currently under a per appearance type deal with the company.

It was reported that several other talents besides Swann are also currently under per appearance type deals while others are currently under short-term type contracts with TNA.

Misc. Wrestling News & Notes

Sunday’s Grand Destiny 2025 event for Marigold in Tokyo, Japan featured three new champions crowned. The first was Darkness Revolution (CHIAKI & Misa Matsui) defeating Magenta (Maria & Riko Kawahata) to become the new Marigold Twin Star Champions. The second was Victoria Yuzuki defeating Mai Sakurai to become the new Marigold United National Champion. The third was Miku Aono defeating Utami Hayashishita to become the new Marigold World Champion.

Marigold recently announced that next year’s Summer Destiny event will be taking place on August 9, 2026 at the Ota City General Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan. It was also announced that next year’s Grand Destiny event will be taking place on October 24, 2026 at the Ryogoku Sumo Hall in Tokyo.

The Georgia High School Football Hall of Fame recently announced that the 1971 Valdosta team and the 1976 Warner Robins Screamin’ Demons team will be inducted into their Hall of Fame for this year’s class. The 1976 Screamin’ Demons featured WWE Hall of Famer Ron Simmons as a member of the team. Besides the WWE Hall of Fame, Simmons is also a member of the College Football Hall of Fame.

Lucha Libre AAA recently announced that Rey Mysterio will be making an appearance for the company at their Guerra de Titanes 2025 event on December 20th at the Guadalajara Arena in Guadalajara, Mexico.
