Tessa Blanchard Makes Surprise CMLL Return

Wednesday’s CMLL Informa show featured current TNA talent Tessa Blanchard making her surprise return appearance to Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre.

During the show, it was announced that while Blanchard is currently under contract with TNA Wrestling, her deal allows her the ability to compete for CMLL.

It was also announced that Blanchard will be making her in-ring return for the company at their Super Viernes event on October 10th at the Arena Mexico in Mexico City, Mexico.


Persephone vs. Mercedes Mone for CMLL Women’s World Title Announced for October 17th CMLL Event

Wednesday’s CMLL Informa show also featured one new match announced for the card of CMLL’s Super Viernes event on October 17th at the Arena Mexico in Mexico City, Mexico.

This new match announced was a CMLL Women’s World Championship match of Persephone vs. Mercedes Mone (c).

House of Glory recently announced that Shayna Baszler will be making her official debut appearance for the company at their co-promoted Superclash event on November 15th in Brentwood, New York.

Former WWE and WCW wrestler Ahmed Johnson announced on Facebook that he was involved in a serious car accident after being hit by a drunk driver on September 29th but is currently doing okay.

New Japan Pro Wrestling recently released a trailer for an upcoming new documentary titled “The Alpha of the G1.” This upcoming documentary focuses on Konosuke Takeshita’s run and victory in this year’s G1 Climax tournament.

DDT Pro Wrestling recently announced that wrestling doll Yoshihiko will be out of action for the foreseeable future due to “years of accumulated injuries” and will be undergoing an overhaul.

Ruthless Pro Wrestling recently announced that they will be shutting down in early 2026. It was announced that due to behind-the-scenes people are currently dealing with medical issues, they have cancelled their October 11th event in Chicago, Illinois.

Japanese wrestler Daisuke Sekimoto announced on Instagram that he recently suffered a broken foot injury. Sekimoto statedSekimoto, broken leg 😱 I’ll be out of action for a while again. I’m sorry. Even though I’m causing so much trouble, the people involved are so kind, and I’m truly grateful. Once I’m fully recovered, I’ll definitely return to the ring!

In a recent interview with Rewind, Recap, Relive, Jeff Hardy gave his thoughts about the origin of his Swanton Bomb finisher move. Hardy stated “It was another one of my favorite wrestlers from Japan, The Great Sasuke, I believe. He would do this dive to the floor, but he had that grace about his front flip, and I just started doing that on the trampoline and said, wow, this might be a cool move to do in the ring on somebody.
