Backstage Update on Seth Rollins Torn Rotator Cuff Injury & Potential Return Timetable

As noted before, Seth Rollins suffered a shoulder injury at WWE’s Crown Jewel: Perth event earlier this month. Rollins’ injury situation is believed to be the reason for the The Vision turning on Rollins and attacking him at the October 13th WWE RAW show in Perth, Western Australia, Australia. Rollins injury is believed to be a torn rotator cuff and he is expected to be undergoing surgery soon.

Dave Meltzer reported in a recent episode of the Wrestling Observer Radio that Rollins is still confirmed to be undergoing surgery and WWE officials still do not know the extent of the damage in Rollins’ shoulder until he had surgery.

In regards to a timetable for a potential return, Meltzer reported that WWE officials are currently hopeful that Rollins will be able to return to the ring in time for next year’s WrestleMania 42 event. Meltzer reported that the only thing known is that Rollins is currently expected to be out of action for months.

Backstage Update on Wes Lee WWE Release

As noted before, NXT talent Wes Lee, real name Deveon Aichens, was released from WWE earlier this month as part of a larger batch of talent releases.

Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp reported in a recent Q&A article that his sources stated that Lee’s release was not related to anything disciplinary nor did Lee do anything wrong.

Sapp reported that the general reaction to Lee’s release within WWE was one of surprise over the view of his being the most surprising out of all of the recent wave of roser cuts.

Sapp also reported that he currently expects Lee to do very well outside of WWE for his post-WWE career.
