Tony Khan Comments on His Belief Adam Cole & MJF Clicked So Well That They Created “Some of the Best AEW TV Ever”
AEW recently released a excerpt from their recently released This Book Is All Elite: The Inside Story of All Elite Wrestling book that features an in-depth look at the history of the company since its launch in 2019.
This excerpt featured AEW CEO Tony Khan giving his thoughts about his belief that Adam Cole and MJF’s friendship and rivalry with each other created some of the best AEW television ever.
“I think pro wrestling as its best can be about all different kinds of rivalries and relationships, friendships and grudges. The charisma of Adam Cole and MJF together as a team clicked so well, and the story of their friendship resonated with people all over the word and created some of the best AEW TV ever.”

MVP Comments on His Praise of Ricochet for Being Someone Who “Will Make You Look Way Better Than You Actually Are”
A recent episode of the Marking Out with MVP and Dwayne Swayze podcast featured co-host MVP giving his thoughts about his praise of Ricochet for being someone who will make wrestlers look way better than they actually are in the ring.
“Ricochet is amazing, man. His body control, what he’s capable of doing with his body, the details when he sells — like the little extra pump, he’s phenomenal. In our business, when everything is working the way it’s supposed to, we make each other look better than we are. Ricochet will make you look way better than you actually are and I think he’s doing the best work of his career.”

Little did I know it would make the rounds online and catch the attention of the AEW World Heavyweight Champion Hangman Adam Page. Who personally sent me these autographed t-shirts. Definitely some cowboy shit.“
Athena recently commented on Twitter about her currently expecting and wanting a “massive celebration” from Mercedes Mone after claiming that they will win the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship tournament and titles. Athena stated “.@Aew@Ringofhonor ATTN MINIONS: #AthenaEliteWrestling returns TOMORROW My 1st match back since my vacay and I’m on my way to make history once again! @MercedesVarnado… I expect a massive celebration after we become the 1st and #ForeverAEWTagChamps With love and anger ATHENA #ForeverROHChamp#MinionOverlord#FallenGoddess#AmericanJoshi#TheInspiration“
In the debut episode of the Identity Crisis podcast, co-host and former AEW talent CJ Perry gave her thoughts about her praise of Mercedes Mone for what she is accomplishing with her current belt collector’s character. Perry stated “Mercedes Mone, and also Nattie. Both of them have been taking the wrestling world by storm. The number one thing that it takes to be successful is hustle. Literally grabbing the diamond ring. That is what Mercedes is doing. She showed up in Poland at a little wrestling venue, fighting people for championships, and is collecting world titles around the world. We have to invest in ourselves. Nattie and I talk about this all the time. If we don’t believe that we’re worth it and putting money back into our career and our brand, then why would any studio or wrestling company or magazine or brand decide that we are worth them putting money into us. That’s what Mercedes and Nattie are doing. They are betting on themselves. It’s betting on yourself. Mercedes was always that. I find this woman so inspiring. In 2013 when we started at NXT, she had just started, and she was like, ‘I’m going to main event.’ I was like, ‘Women are having two-minute matches. Good luck.’ When her, Bayley, Charlotte, and Becky were like, ‘We’re going to change the business for women’s wrestling,’ I’m not going to lie, I didn’t think it was possible. I didn’t say that because I didn’t want to be a person who doesn’t believe in their dreams, but the landscape wasn’t looking good. In 2015, the women’s evolution started with Mercedes, Charlotte, and Becky getting called up and Bayley going on her NXT run.” (Transcript h/t: Fightful.com)
