All Japan Pro Wrestling talent Yuma Aoyagi was involved in a car accident on November 23rd following Aoyagi running a red light and collidng with another car.
AJPW held a press conference earlier today to give an official statement on Aoyagi’s car accident incident and announced that they have suspended him for three months and docked his pay by 50% for this time period.
It was announced that Aoyagi’s suspension currently runs through February 28, 2026.
It was also announced that Aoyagi and Yuma Anzai have forfeited all of their remaining tag league matches in the on-going Real World Tag League tournament due to Aoyagi’s suspension.
Following AJPW’s announcement, Aoyagi issued an official statement on Twitter apologizing for his actions.
“To everyone who was looking forward to my participation, to everyone who was anticipating the World’s Strongest Tag League series, and to my partner who joined me at my invitation—I extend my deepest apologies. I’m truly sorry.”
