Brodie Lee Jr., son of the late Brodie Lee, has been under a deal with AEW since 2020. Lee Jr., also known as Negative One, was given this deal during his father’s serious health battle with lung failure that eventually led to his passing in December of 2021.
A recent episode of the Casual Conversation with The Classic podcast featured Lee Jr. as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Lee Jr. clarifying the longtime rumors of being under an actual contract with AEW and stated the only contract he actually signed is for a very specific match that doesn’t go into effect until he turns 18 years old.
“I’m not signed. Everybody thinks I’m signed. I’m not signed. The deal was, when I turn 18, if I want that contract, it is always open. The only thing I really signed was a — it was that, and I also signed a random, like, contract for when I turned 18: me vs. Mox in a death match.”
Lee Jr. made his official in-ring debut at this past April’s Joey Janela’s Spring Break Clusterf*cuk Forever 2025 event for Game Changer Wrestling. Lee Jr. last appeared on-screen in AEW and Ring of Honor at this past July’s Supercard of Honor 2025 event.
