New Japan Pro Wrestling announced one new match for the card of Wrestle Kingdom 20, which takes place on January 4, 2026 at the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan.

This new match announced was an IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship #1 Contender Four-way match of El Desperado vs. Kosei Fujita vs. Taiji Ishimori vs. SHO.

NJPW also confirmed that Hiroshi Tanahashi will be facing off against Kazuchika Okada for his retirement match at Wrestle Kingdom 20. This match was initially setup at Saturday’s New Japan Road in Anjo event.
