A recent episode of The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast featured co-host Matt Hardy giving his thoughts about how he had questioned if he wanted to continue his wrestling career near the end of his run in AEW.
“During those times in AEW, there were times where both myself and Jeff, especially me when I was there and I wasn’t really do anything, it just made me question, why am I still doing this? I love this, but it kind of doesn’t feel like something I love right now.”
Hardy also gave his thoughts about how his brother Jeff dealt with feelings of guilt after his DUI arrest in 2022 and them being used less on AEW programming afterwards. Hardy also gave his thoughts about how The Hardys return to TNA Wrestling reignited his passion for wrestling.
“Ultimately, what we needed to do was leave and go to TNA and then we found that again. And I am as much in love with the business as I have ever been this year.”
Hardy also gave his thoughts about how he would like him and his brother to be inducted into WWE’s Hall of Fame while still working in TNA.
“I think we would like to do something proper to wind things down. And we’ve said this a couple of times in WWE, and then maybe off into the sunset and do the Hall of Fame. I would want to do the TNA and the WWE Hall of Fame and I think Jeff would as well.”
