Brian Myers Comments on His Wrestling Career Future & Retirement Plans
WhatCulture Wrestling held a recent interview with Brian Myers. One of the topics discussed included Myers’ thoughts about the future of his in-ring wrestling career and retirement plans.
“At the end of the day, father time’s undefeated. It all depends on how your body holds up, how your brain holds up these days. Everything we know about CTE and brain health, that’s definitely a big factor I think that plays into our generation that I don’t think the older guys were really too concerned about, unfortunately, because they just didn’t have the education. But yeah, I have every intention of wrestling until my body tells me no more. Right now, I have my eyes set on 50 and I think maybe we’ll assess that, and I’m nowhere near that. Unfortunately, fortunately I should say, but we’ll take it from there. But, yeah, I think every match and the physicality that you have in wrestling is a privilege, right? Cause it’s, it’s a privilege to be part of pro wrestling and it’s a privilege to be healthy. You’d be out there and doing the dangerous things we do for the sake of entertainment. So I’m just gonna, live in that and embellish that as long as I can, because I love it that much.”

Vince Russo Comments on Violent J is “Closest to a Vince McMahon” He’s Ever Worked With
Former WWE, WCW, and TNA creative writer Vince Russo joined Juggalo Championship Wrestling as their head writer this past October.
A recent episode of The Ariel Helwani Show featured Russo as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Russo’s thoughts about working with JCW co-owner Violent J and how Violent J has been the closest to a “Vince McMahon” he has worked with during his wrestling career.
“I have to say this because I want everybody to know this. I hadn’t seen (Violent) J in 26 years. I worked with him for four days. Violent J, out of everybody I’ve ever worked with, is the closest to a Vince McMahon, without a shadow of a doubt. This guy is a genius.
And let me tell you Ariel, how I know he’s a genius. When you are creative, you are not detailed-oriented. You’re not because your mind is out here, you’re always thinking outside of the box. You need somebody else to dot the Is and cross the Ts. That’s where Ed (Ferrera) and I worked so well together. Ed was a detail guy. I sat there and I watched Violent J for four days, this guy did both.
And this was unbelievable to me because whether people want to believe it or not, Vince McMahon was really not a creative genius. The genius of Vince McMahon was he could see things that nobody else could see. And what he used to call that all the time is the nuances. Vince would see the nuances that nobody else saw.
If I wrote a script that was a 9, Vince would tweak a nuance here, a nuance there, now the show was a 10. But you give Vince McMahon a blank piece of paper, Vince McMahon cannot write you a wrestling show.
And that’s why when I saw the creative genius of Violent J, I was like man, this is the guy I want to work with. There’s no politics, there’s no BS, this is a guy who knows we need to expand this and bring it to the world once again and that’s exactly what we’re doing.”
