Priscilla Kelly Comments on “Gigi Dolin Feels Like An Entirely Separate Entity From Priscilla Kelly. To Me, It’s A Whole Different Character”

Denise Salcedo held a recent interview with Priscilla Kelly, former Gigi Dolin in WWE. One of the topics discussed included Kelly’s thoughts about the differences between her Priscilla Kelly character in the indies and her Gigi Dolin character in WWE and how she had tried to bring more of the Kelly character into WWE.

“I tried my best to bring Priscilla Kelly into WWE. I really tried. I would film a lot of these promos for the internal performance center website and I would try to pitch these ideas and they would take my ideas, but a lot of times the way that their team would film it and execute it, to me it just never felt like my work. Gigi Dolin feels like an entirely separate entity from Priscilla. To me, it’s a whole different character. There’s elements of Priscilla in there but at the end of the day, it’s completely separate. In WWE, it can be very hard to portray things the way you want them to look and the way you want them to be presented because you’re not the one producing it, you’re not always the one writing it, you’re not always the one filming it. With all my independent stuff and the stuff I would make myself, it was me producing, me writing, me filming. Even like all the promos I have done, including the one I just did for MLW, a lot of these social medias, my return promo, that’s all me. I’m the one directing it, I’m the one writing it, I’m the one doing everything. It’s kind of like when you have a recipe that’s your recipe and you give your recipe to somebody else, it’s going to turn out different even if they’re using the same ingredients. I think that’s what happened a lot of the time with WWE. I would give them my ideas, but then they would be the ones along it, so it always read different to me. With WWE, there’s a lot more restriction on what you can wear, what you can do, what you can say, how you can act sometimes. It’s very hard to — sometimes it can be hard to let your authentic side show as well. You’re portraying a character.”

Mick Foley Comments on Him Having a “New Lease on Life” with His Improved Health

A recent episode of the Insight with Chris Van Vliet podcast featured WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Foley’s thoughts about how his quality of life has improved following his recent weight loss and hip and knee replacements surgeries.

“Well, the crazy thing is I’m moving better,” Foley said. “I dropped like 90 [pounds], at one point I had gone from 372 to 273. And then I may have taken it too easy for the next four or five months and crept up towards 300. But I think I’m down around 275.

And the hip and knee replacements, those were game changers. I remember talking to Kevin Nash and saying, ‘Kevin, something amazing happened to me today.’ He said, ‘What’s that?’ I said, ‘I passed somebody in the airport.’ I was always the guy, people are like, ‘Hey, sir, can you move to the side?’ And I was starting to pass people — which didn’t mean I was fast. And I don’t want to over exaggerate the amount of pain I was in, but I think I’ve got a pretty high threshold. So when I say it was — I don’t want to say agonizing, but it was more than severe. If it was not agonizing, it was agonizing at moments.”

Foley also gave his thoughts about how when he saw the orthopedic doctor, he was told that his hip was the worst the doctor has ever seen. Foley also gave his thoughts about how the doctor didn’t know how he was able to walk but him finding out what the issue was and knowing it could be fixed gave Foley hope.

“And once I realized there was hope, and then once I had the hip followed by the knee, it was like a new lease on life.

If you were to suddenly transform someone else into my current body, they might think it was hell on earth. But compared to how I felt for like 10-15 years, yeah, I am doing a lot better.”
