Cody Rhodes Comments on His Next WWE Contract Will “Probably” Be His Last for Wrestling Career
A recent episode of the All The Smoke podcast featured Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Rhodes’ thoughts about the future of his wrestling career and how his next contract with WWE will probably be his last one and wants to retire in WWE.
“The next contract I sign with WWE is probably going to be my last, and finish my days with WWE. It’s the house that built me, and it’s the house that brought me back.”
Rhodes also gave his thoughts about his two daughters and wanting to spend more time with them outside of wrestling.
“You can only go so long. And I think I know my number, where I’d like to get with this. I was lucky that my dad, who I thought was the best dad ever, he was out of the game. He was in it as a producer and in it as a creator, pop in here as an old man wrestler every now and then, but he was out of the game. So he was No. 1 Dad, at every game, he coached our football team. He’s known in Cobb County as ‘Coach’ more than ‘the American Dream.’ I’d like to make it by the time I hit that age that I’m not gone that often or I can’t really walk around that much.”
Is the American Nightmare closer to the end than we think? 😳

Backstage Update on Reason for Lengthy Opening Segment on Monday’s WWE RAW Show
Monday’s WWE RAW show in Rio Rancho, New Mexico featured an opening promo segment involving WWE World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk, Logan Paul, and The Vision that turned physical. This opening segment was notable for being much longer than usual for an opening segment on a RAW show.
The Wrestling Observer’s Bryan Alvarez reported that his sources stated that the reason for the very lengthy opening segment on Monday’s show was due to Punk, Paul, and The Vision went well over their allocated time. Alvarez reported that the opening segment went ten minutes longer than WWE officials had originally planned and caused them to scramble to make up for the lost time affecting other segments on the show.
Alvarez also reported that WWE officials were left scrambling to make up for the lost time affecting the time originally given for later segments in the show.
