WWE: Entrance Order Plans for Men’s WarGames Match Reportedly Causing “Creative Contention”, Santos Escobar WWE Abscense Update, Drew McIntyre on Not Getting One of John Cena’s Final Matches

Entrance Order Plans for Men’s WarGames Match Reportedly Causing “Creative Contention”

Tonight’s WWE Survivor Series WarGames 2025 event in San Diego, California is currently scheduled to feature a Men’s WarGames match between CM Punk, Jey Uso, Cody Rhodes, Jimmy Uso, & Roman Reigns and The Vision (“Big” Bronson Reed & Bron Breakker), Logan Paul, Drew McIntyre, & Brock Lesnar.

WrestleVotes reported that their sources within WWE stated that there are currently issues regarding the plans for the entrance order for the Men’s WarGames match that has caused “creative contention” to occur backstage.

It was reported that with the amount of star power in play, several scenarios have been mapped out and there have been different opinions backstage for the exact order for the entrances for this upcoming match.

No other details were given regarding this issue.

Santos Escobar WWE Abscense Update

Santos Escobar has been absent from WWE since this past July. During his abscense, Escobar’s contract with WWE had expired this past October and quickly had signed a new contract with the company. Escobar provided an update last week stating that he is still “waiting, patiently” for his return to WWE.

Bryan Alvarez reported in a recent episode of the Wrestling Observer Radio that his sources confirmed that Escobar’s new contract with WWE is for “big money” and contains a lot of perks.

Alvarez reported that it would not make sense on WWE’s end to re-sign Escobat to this kind of money and then not push him. Alvarez speculated that Escobar’s abscense is an example of WWE officials not currently having any real creative idea in place yet before having him make his return.

Alvarez also reported that it is currently not known when Escobar will be making his return but one of the requests he had made for his new contract was that he wanted a personal meeting with WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque to discuss his future plans.

Co-host Lance Storm speculated that if WWE officials don’t have a WrestleMania 42 match planned for Escobar, then it would be better off if they just let him sit until after WrestleMania for his potential return to the company.

Drew McIntyre Comments on Not Getting One of John Cena’s Final Matches

The Stunner held a recent interview with Drew McIntyre. One of the topics discussed included McIntyre’s thoughts about John Cena’s legacy in the wrestling industry and him being sad that he did not get the chance to compete against Cena for one of his final matches in his retirement tour.

“He’s meant everything to our industry. When The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin left WWE, [with] the top superstars Triple H, Shawn Michaels at the end of their career, the company and the world needed somebody to step up into that top position. John stepped up in a massive way for multiple generations.

It’s insane to see that he’s about to have his last couple of matches. I’m sad I didn’t get one of them, but I’m glad I’m part of the roster. I’m glad I got to travel the world, I’m glad I got to learn from John Cena because he is a legend and he might just be the GOAT.”
