In-Ring: Tatum Paxley, The Culling, Fatal Influence

Tatum Paxley makes her way to the ring.with her diagonally aligned associates.

Tatum says she gets goosebumps when she hears her name as the NXT Women’s Champion.  She says she could hear it over and over again.  She says if she wants to hear that, she has to start listening to her friends.  It did not go the way she wanted last week.  They were fighting and they were dancing and they got away.  You were trying to protect her and she says it was her fault they lost.  Tatum says Izzi forgave her because that is what friends do.

Izzi says she wants what is best for Tatum.  They know how long she fought to get here and be the champion.  If you want to continue to be the goofy dancing champion, she has to stop giving matches to everyone who walks through the door.  

Tatum says she can be impulsive and she thanks them for being there for her.  Tatum says she loved the wheel.

Izzi says the people would be entertained by a fruit fly.  She says that Tatum has to do what is best for her, not the people.  The last time you fought for them, you were left alone.  Now you are everything and more they expected for her.

Tatum asks why can’t she be a champ who does both.  She doesn’t want anyone in the back to feel the way she felt.

Izzi says the more lose the defend the title, nthe more likely you are going to lose.  Not everyone deserves a title match.  Don’t give out free opportunities.  It isn’t what is best for you or the title.

Jacy Jayne makes her way to the ring with Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid.

Jacy says nobody knows how Tatum feels than her.  To be honest, you need to decide what kind of champion you want to be.  Jacy tells the crowd to shut up because she runs this place.  She tells Tatum that she worked so long and so hard that you have to prove that winning at Halloween Havoc wasn’t a fluke, so you need to be a fighting champion.   You need to erase any doubts.

Jacy says Izzi is right that Tatum should not give out opportunities to random people, but to someone who has earned it.  Someone who carried this division on her back all year, someone who deserves it.

Izzi says those are big words for someone who is so insignificant these days.  Izzi says Jacy will say anything to get a rematch.  You beat her.

Jacy asks Izzi if she doesn’t have faith in her best friend?  It isn’t your title and you don’t know what it feels to hold a title.  She says Tatum needs to do the right thing and that is to give the former champion her rematch.

Tatum says she has to be smart about who she gives a match to and she needs to be more selective, but right after New York.  She tells Jacy she gets her rematch at Gold Rush.

Tatum and Jacy jump around while Izzi looks like she is talking to a brick wall.

Jackson Drake thanks Ava for giving him a shot to defend the Evolve Title at Gold Rush.

Ava says they can’t wait to see Sean Legacy become the new champion.

Ethan, Chelsea, and Alba enter and she asks Ava to congratulate Chelsea on her win.

Ava says they better be ready for their match next week against Thea Hail and the guy they won’t name.

Alba says they don’t have security clearance so the match can’t happen.

Ava suggests that Alba face Thea tonight.

We take a look back at Josh Briggs getting involved in the match between Tavion Heights and Myles Borne.  They will meet tonight.

WWE Speed Men’s Championship
Jasper Troy vs. El Grande Americano (c)

Troy runs Grande into the corner and connects with shoulders.  Troy with a hard Irish whip to the sternum.  Troy with a slam and he gets a near fall.  Grande gets his boot up to stop Troy and he kicks Troy.  Troy catches Grande off the turnbuckles but Grande escapes and hits a leg lariat.  Grande with a kick to the chest for a near fall.  Grande with a wrist lock and he tries to go to the ropes but Troy stops him and hits a shoulder tackle.  Troy with a back elbow.  Troy with kicks and he chokes Grande.  Grande chops and punches Troy.  Troy blocks punches and he connects with a forearm.  Troy with a splash for a near fall.  Troy sets for a splash in the corner but Grande with a flying kick to the head.  Grande with a chop and he goes to the tropes for a springboard blockbuster.  

Troy rolls to the floor and Troy with a forearm when Grande goes for a suicide dive.  Troy sends Grande into the ring and the referee checks on Grande.  Troy gets the chain and Rayo and Bravo take it and since the referee turns around when Bravo and Rayo are holding the belt, they are sent to the back.  Grande with a suicide dive  Rayo hands something to Grande to put into his gear.  Troy grabs Grande but Grande escapes.  Grande with a flying head butt and then he goes to put in his metal piece in the mask.  Troy with a splash and Boss Man slam for the three count.

Winner: Jasper Troy via Pinfall to win the WWE Speed Men’s Championship.

Backstage: Thea Hail, Joe Hendry

Thea wonders where is Joe and since she said his name, he shows up.  

Thea thanks Joe for last week, but Joe thanks Thea and he says that she inspired him.  He is happy that she is his partner.

Thea says they are going to become AAA Mixed Tag champions.  She is going to take it to a former NXT UK champion and former Tag Team Champion.  It is because she believes in Thea Hail.

Backstage: Ava, Sean Legacy, ZaRuca

We are back and Sean Legacy says he cannot wait to end Jackson Drake’s title reign.

Sol Ruca and Zaria show up and Sean says he hopes Sol rehab is going well.

Ava says she read the medical report and she is cleared, as tolerated.   Ava says it is up to Sol.

Sol wants the match and Zaria says that Sol can wait until Deadline.

Sol says she wants the match and Ava says she is okay as long as Sol understands the consequences.

Thea Hail vs. Alba Fyre

Thea goes for a kimura but Alba sends Thea into the turnbuckles and then she kicks Thea.  Alba with a hard Irish whip and shoulders.  Alba with a snap mare and she stretches the arm and kicks Thea in the shoulder.  Alba with an Irish whip but Thea floats over and gets a near fall with a rollup.  Thea misses a round kick and Alba gets a near fall with a rollup.  Thea goes for the arm and Alba slaps her.  Thea with a Thesz Press and punches.  Thea works on the arm with arm wringers and she tries for a Fujiwara arm bar.  Thea with an arm drag and a wheelbarrow into an arm drag.  Thea drop kicks Alba to the floor.  Thea with a rope shaking springboard coffin drop.  Thea blocks a slap from Green and Alba his a suicide dive.  Joe comes over to check on Thea.  Alba tells Joe to back off.

Alba sends Thea into the apron.  Alba sends Thea back into the ring.  Alba chokes Thea in the ropes and kicks her.  Alba with knees to the back.  Alba chokes Thea in the ropes again and pulls her from the ropes for a near fall.  Alba with a reverse chin lock.  Thea with a rollup for a near fall.  Alba with a clothesline or a near fall.  Alba with an Irish whip and she chops Thea in the corner.  Alba with forearms and she chokes Thea in the ropes again.  Green chokes Thea while the referee talks to Alba.  Alba with a gourdbuster for a near fall.  Alba with a straitjacket choke.  Thea with elbows to get free.  Alba with a series fo chops and Thea with a head butt.  Alba with a head butt.  Alba iwth a head butt and Thea with punches.  Alba with a forearm.  Thea with a forearm and back heel kick.  Alba gets Thea up but Thea with an arm drag.  Thea with kicks and a flying clothesline.

Thea shakes the ropes and misses a springboard coffin drop.  Alba gets a near fall.  Thea goes for the kimura but Alba sends Thea into the turnbuckles.  Alba with a tornado DDT for a near fall.  Tea counters a suplex attempt into an inside cradle and Thea gets a near fall.  Thea with a Michinoku Driver for a near fall.  Green gets on the apron to distract Thea on the turnbuckles.  Thea with the kimura and Page gets on the apron and he tells the referee about something.  Thea releases the hold and Joe hits Page and turns.  Thea takes care of Green.  Thea gets back in the ring and Alba with a super kick for a near fall.

Alba sets for the Gory Bomb but Thea counters with a sunset flip for the three count.

Winner: Thea Hail via Pinfall.

Backstage: Tatum Paxley, Ricky Saints, The Culling

Tatum says she isn’t sure about who she should face.

Ricky Saints says that Trick doesn’t deserve a title match and he is going to kick Trick’s ass.

Izzi, Shawn, and Niko show up and tell Tatum to let Ricky get prepared for his match.

Tatum wants to tell Ricky something but they pull her away.

Video: Blake Monroe

We are back and we go to an interview with North American Champion Blake Monroe.

Blake says she was so excited when she got her message and she always carries it with her.  

Blake asks herself about winning.

Blake says she has the power.

“Blake” says power fades.  She asks how long until the light burns out.

Blake says she is not going to lose the title.

“Blake’ says Sol didn’t lose the title and she won’t be the champion until she wins.

Blake says she is the total package.  She says she is a champion who doesn’t get her hands dirty.

‘Blake’ says that Sol will fight back and she says there is only one way to beat her.  She says Sol is not 100 percent, but Blake can with her by Blake’s side.  Do whatever it takes to keep the title.  She says she needs Blake to let her be part of this.

Blake says that is not the type of champion she wants to be.

‘Blake’ asks if she loves her and she tells Blake to be the Glamour but hell is what makes glamour be.

Blake asks what happens if she breaks Sol.  Will they care?

‘Blake’ says that she will still be the champion.  You love to be adored but you hate what you have to do do it.

Blake says spotlight needs darkness.  Together they make one hell of a champion.

Backstage: Je’Von Evans

Je’Von Evans gets a phone call with Leon and Leon asks about what happened with Dark State.

Je’Von says he is going to make a special announcement.  

Leon says he wishes he could be there, but Je’Von says Leon will be there.

Backstage: Jordynne Grace

We are back and Sarah asks Jordynne about what Kelani said.

Grace says that cheating is the easy way out.  Grace says before she was in NXT, she was a TNA Knockout.  She was THE Knockout and the title was synonymous with.  Jordynne says she was a three time champion.  Next week, she will make history.  She says that Lainey Reid will be collateral damage.  At Gold Rush she Jordan can blame her.

In-Ring: Je’Von Evans, Leon Slater, DarkState

Je’Von Evans is in the ring.

He says he is not going to lie but he is excited about what he heard on Raw.  He says he will be in the tournament on the main roster.  Evans says he is nervous.  Not only because he is going against Gunther, but because he is wrestling in Madison Square Garden at 21.  MSG has been around longer than he has been alive.  That is Monday.  

He wants to talk about next Tuesday.  He says Leon is not here in the ring, but he has Leon on the ShawnTron.

Evans says he knows that Leon is taking care of things.  They talked to Santino and Ava and they have an opportunity next Tuesday to face Dark State for the tag titles.

Slater says after what Dark State did to the Hardys and tried to do to Evans last week, they are going to get the titles.  

Evans says when they are in the same ring, they are going to make magic.

The lights go out and we get the four spotlights in the crowd.

Osiris says they have their next two victims in front of them.  They took care of you idols.

Dion says your future is in their hands and they end the future next week.

Cutler says you bought some time by what you did last week.

Saquon says nothing matters unless they say so.  Now you are in the ring looking stupid without your man here.

Slater leaves the Tron screen and he makes his way to the ring.  

Leon and Evans take care of all four men in Dark State and they go to the floor.  Slater with a flip dive and Evans with a plancha.

Backstage: Trick Williams, Kelani Jordan

Kelani stops to talk to Trick and she says that Trick was right.  It is lonely at the top as champion.  If you want to be successful, the only person you have to worry about is yourself.  She says she is picking Trick.

Trick says sometimes you have to be selfish.  He will take care of Ricky tonight and he tells Kelani she will get it done next week.  He tells Kelani to show why she is HER.

Vacant WWE Speed Women’s Championship Tournament Match
Fallon Henley vs. Skylar Raye

Raye with a drop kick and she gets a near fall with a victory roll.  Fallon with forearms but Raye with a rollup for a near fall.  Fallon gets a near fall.  Fallon chops Raye.  Fallon gets Raye up but Raye escapes.  Fallon with a flying arm drag and Raye with a rollup for a near fall.  Fallon gets a near fall.  Fallon goes for a power bomb but Raye with a rana.  Raye with a hip into the corner.  Raye with an elbow and she goes up top for a cross body and she gets a near fall.  Raye with a tornado DDT for a near fall.  Raye goes for another rollup but Fallon with a hot shot anda  flying hair mare.  Fallon with a Fameasser for the three count.

Winner: Fallon Henley via Pinfall.

The Speed Finals will be in two weeks.

NXT Parking Lot: Jasper Troy, DarkState

Jasper Troy is outside and he is asked about winning.  

He says he is the last one you think about when you think of Speed.  He says everyone will bend the knee.

Dark State shows up outside and they say they will take care of Leon and Evans next week.  Saquon says no one is safe.

Backstage: Fatal Influence

Jacy says Fallon won’t be the only one leaving with a title.

Lainey says she is going to do what she has to.

Josh Briggs vs. Tavion Heights

Josh with a boot and then he kicks Tavion.  Josh goes for a slam and Tavion escapes.  Tavion with a fireman’s carry and a hip toss.  Tavion with a waist lock take down.  Tavion with another waist lock take down and a Gator Roll.  Josh pulls the hair and he connects with an elbow.  Josh with a forearm.  Josh with a side slam and he gets a near fall.  Josh get another near fall.  Josh with a forearm to the back and an elbow drop to the back of the neck.  Josh gets a near fall.  Tavion blocks a punch and he punches Josh.  Josh with a back elbow against the ropes.  Tavion with a single leg take down and he rolls through and gets Josh on his shoulders.  Josh escapes with forearms and Josh with a flying clothesline.  

Tavion with a clothesline against the ropes and he hits another one.  Tavion misses a flying back elbow but he gets a near fall.  Josh with a forearm.  Josh with a forearm and kicks.  Josh works on the midsection.  Tavion with punches.  Tavion with a drop kick.  Josh with a flying boot and both men are down.  Josh gets a near fall.  Josh with a reverse chin lock into a rear chin lock.  Tavion with punches and a forearm.  The referee holds Tavion back and Josh with a forearm to the thigh and he punches Tavion.  Josh gets a near fall.  Josh with forearms and Tavion picks up Josh and Josh with elbows to get back to his feet.  Tavion picks up Josh and hits a slam.  Tavion with clotheslines and a sling blade like maneuver.  Josh with a boot and a second one when Tavion bounces off the ropes.

Josh misses a boot and gets caught in the ropes.  Tavion with a belly-to-belly suplex for the three count.

Winner: Tavion Heights via Pinfall.

Backstage: Ava, Myles Borne, Wren Sinclair, Kendal Grey, Lainey Reid, Fatal Influence

Ava tells Myles that this match will not affect what they talked about.  She says Myles cannot interfere.

Myles reminds Ava about what Trick did.

Wren shows up and so does Kendal.

Kendal says they have big things to do but they need another member.

Lainey Reid punches Kendal and they are eventually separated.

NXT Gold Rush Week 1 & 2 Shows Cards Rundown

Next week, Blake Monroe faces Sol Ruca for the North American Title.  Ethan Page and Chelsea Green defend the Mixed tag titles against Joe Hendry and Thea Hail.  Je’Von Evans and Leon Slater battle Dark State for the NXT Tag Titles.  Tatum Paxley defends the Women’s Title against Jacy Jayne.

We are back and in two weeks, Kelani Jordan defends the TNA title against Lei Ying Lee and Jordynne Grace.  Jackson Drake defends the Evolve Title against Sean Legacy.  Zaria faces Fallon Henley for the Speed Title.  Kendal Grey defends the Evolve Title against Lainey Reid.

NXT Championship Last Man Standing Match
Trick Williams vs. Ricky Saints (c)

Trick swings and misses with a kendo stick and Ricky with punches and then he blocks a kendo stick shot on the turnbuckles.  Trick pulls Saints off the ropes with the kendo stick and Ricky takes it and hits Trick and clotheslines him over the top rope to the floor with it.  Ricky goes under the table and he gets chairs but Trick with a forearm to the back.  We get a a duel with the chairs.  Ricky Irish whiips Trick into the ring steps.  The referee starts his count.while Ricky throws stuff into the ring.  Trick gets back to his feet and he sends Trick back into the ring.  Ricky sets for a springboard move but Trick hits Ricky with the trash can a few times.  Trick with a flap jack onto the trash can and the referee starts his count.  Trick with a jumping side kick and the count resumes  Trick with chops.  Trick ties Ricky in the ropes and Trick gets the kendo stick and hits Ricky in the taped ribs.

The referee starts his count.  Trick hits Ricky in the back with a chair a few times.  Trick sets up a chair and Trick goes under the ring and gets a trash can lid.  Ricky blocks a trash can lid and Ricky hits Trick with the lid many times.  Trick falls to the floor while Ricky is down in the ring.  Trick pulls up the ring skirt when Ricky goes for a baseball slide and Trick punches Ricky.  Trick puts a trash can over Ricky and Trick hits Ricky with the kendo stick many times.  Ricky gets back to his feet and he puts Ricky in the ring and removes the tape.  Trick with a uranage onto the chair.  Trick puts a chair in the turnbuckles.  Trick hits Ricky with the trash can.  Trick tries to Irish whip Ricky into the chair but Ricky tries to reverse it and his back gives out.  Trick sends Ricky to the floor and he adjusts the announce table.  Trick with forearms to the back.

Trick with forearms and a cyclone kick.  Trick charges at Ricky and Ricky sends Trick through the least sturdy ringside barrier in sports entertainment.  Ricky gets a chair from under the ring.  Trick gets back in the ring and Ricky hits Trick with the kendo stick.  Trick begs for mercy and Ricky breaks the kendo stick over his knee and Ricky gets a chair and Trick with a kick.  Ricky hits Trick in the back with the chair many times.  The referee starts his count.  Trick gets back to his feet and Ricky with a spear and the count begins again.  Trick goes full Deadman and sits up.  Trick escpes Roshambo and Trick sends Ricky into the chair in the turnbuckles.  

Trick hits Ricky with the ring steps and the count starts again.  Ricky gets up but Trick with a jumping knee off the ring steps and Ricky goes down again.  The referee starts his coun.  Trick picks up Ricky and he hits a uranage onto the steps.  Trick puts the steps on top of Ricky and he stands on the steps.  Ricky slides under and he pushes Trick off the stops into the ring bell.  Ricky charges at Trick for a spear and Trick sends Ricky through the cylinder.  The referee starts his count.  Ricky punches Trick and they fight into the bleachers.  Trick with a jumping knee.  Trick poses on the railing and Ricky with a spear through the announce table.  Ricky pie faces Trick and the referee gets to the ten count.

Winner: Ricky Saints via Knockout to retain the NXT Championship.

After the match, the building goes green and the crowd whoops for Oba Femi.
