Continental Classic 2025 Blue League Match
Orange Cassidy vs. Roderick Strong

The music of Orange Cassidy hits, as we get ready for the first Continental Classic Blue League Match. Cassidy enters the ring, ready to go. We get a check in from Renee Paquette giving us on an update on Cassidy’s back and that he cleared for action.

Next up is the music of Roderick Strong, as he makes his way out and down to the ring.

The bell rings as both men lock up and Strong has Cassidy down on the mat. Cassidy reverses the hold. Strong holds on to Cassidy, who makes it to the ropes to break the hold. Both men gives us a test of strength as Cassidy grabs the leg of Strong, trying to take him down. Both men go to the ropes for a clean break. Strong chops Cassidy in the corner, as he takes down Strong with a headlock take over. Strong is up, as Orange holds on. Cassidy takes down Strong and covers him for only a one count. Cassidy takes down Strong again with a sidelock take over. Strong is up and attempts to run the ropes, but Strong fights it off. Cassidy holds on and again, we get another sidelock take down. Cassidy picks up strong and takes him down again and covers him for only a two count. Cassidy continues to hold with the side headlock. Both men are up, as Strong breaks out of the hold and chops Cassidy, sending him to the floor. Strong goes to the outside and chops Cassidy repeatedly. Orange fights back taking Strong down, but he is up and drops him on the barricade.

Strong kicks Cassidy and then sets him up against the barricade and chops him. Strong sends him back in the ring. Strong picks up Cassidy and drops him with a back breaker.

Back from the break, Strong is dropped by a spinning DDT by Cassidy. Both men are down as the ref begins the ten count. Both men are up, as Strong chops Cassidy. Strong chops Cassidy again. Both men get in each other faces, as Cassidy goes to put his hands in his pockets, but Strong goes for the strong hold…Cassidy sends Strong to the floor and then tosses Strong back in the ring. Strong is up on the second rope, but Cassidy drops him. Cassidy come off the top, but is caught by Strong who transitions it into a powerslam. Strong covers Cassidy for only a two count. Cassidy rolls up Strong for only a two count. Cassidy from the apron, leaves over the ropes, dropping Strong with a big DDT!

Orange goes to the top rope, as Strong leaps up grabbing Cassidy, who sends him down. Strong is back up as both men are on the second rope. Strong falls, as Orange connects with a tornado DDT on Strong. Orange covers Strong, but he kicks out at two. Cassidy takes off his elbow pad and attempts and Orange punch, but its blocked Strong. Strong picks up Cassidy and drops him on his back…both men go back and forth with pin attempts…Cassidy goes for an Orange punch, but its blocked. Cassidy then rolls up Strong to get the pin.

Winner: Orange Cassidy via Pinfall.

After the match Strong walks around the ring as he walks right by Cassidy.


Ringside: Darby Injury Update Announcement

We go to commentary, as Tony Schiavone says Darby Allin is out of the Continental Classic as that Jack Perry will be the replacement for Allin. He was injured in his match against Kevin Knight.

We go to a vignette with Allin who talks on the Death Riders and then says that when he was wrestling Kevin Knight he could not feel his legs. Allin says that he hopes Jack Perry wins the entire classic. Allin says he doesn’t know what is next and walks off.


In-Ring: FTR, Stokely Hathaway, Bang Bang Gang

The music of FTR hits, as the AEW World Tag Team Champions come down to the ring with Stokely. Stokley has a mic and says tonight…over and over…he then says its the greatest night of his life because FTR are the AEW World Tag Team Champions. We get a “shut the F—” chant. Stokley thanks the fans. He says that he has to address what happened on Dynamite and that FTR are men of their words. Stokley says no more fun and games, no more BS, as Stokley calls out Juice Robinson and Austin Gunn. The music of the Bang Bang hits, as the lights go out in the venue. Austin has a mic in hand, as Juice and Gunn make their way to the ring.

The fans in Columbus start a “Gunns Up” chant. Cash then says he Bang Bang Gang will not beat them again and they are not on their level. Cash tells Austin that he is Billy’s boy and that Juice is Mr. Toni Storm. Dax says they are the best on the planet. Dax runs down and insults Austin and Juice…FTR says they are peerless and have no rivals and no one comes close to FTR. Dax says last week he was embarrassed when he let Juice touch his belt. Dax says there is no way Bang Bang Gang can beat them. Dax double dares Juice to touch his belt. Austin says he is the son of a hall of famer and then says who is a son of who…he then calls Dax a son of b—-.Austin says FTR is avoiding putting the belts on the line and the last time Bang Bang Gang won. the fans start a big “Gunns Up” chant. Austin tells FTR to get a pen and paper and match the match official. Juice then reminds FTR they won the $200,000 and they can go to AEWshop.com and buy belts and touch them all night long…Juice says what they need is the AEW World Titles, they didn’t come out to touch titles and the next time they touch them is when they beat FTR in the United Kingdom…two words…AND NEW!


Backstage: Death Riders

We then go to a backstage vignette with Marina Shafir, Wheeler Yuta and Daniel Garcia. They call Mark Briscoe stupid and that Garcia is bringing the TNT Title home to the Death Riders.

Claudio Castagnoli vs. Mascara Dorada

Back from the break, the music of Claudio Castagnoli hits as he makes his way down the stairs from the back of the venue and out to the ring, while wearing the CMLL Heavyweight Championship. Claudio enters the ring.

Next up is the music of Máscara Dorada hits, as he makes his way to the ring.

The bell rings, as both men lock up. Claudio takes down Doradoa and tries for a quick pin. Claudio has Dorado down on the mat. Claudio has Dorado in a headlock. Both men are up as Claudio takes down Dorado and covers him for only a two count. Claudio picks up Dorado and chops him, sending Dorado down. Claudio covers Dorado who kicks out at two. Dorado is up and runs the ropes, but is taken down by Claudio with a shoulder block. Dorado is back up and spring boards off the ropes, sending Claudio to the outside. Dorado runs the ropes, but is met with a big right hand by Claudio who is on the apron. Claudio picks up Dorado and drops him straight on the guardrail. Claudio picks up Dorado and drops him on the guardrail again!

Back from the break, Claudio tries to pull the mask of Dorado off. Dorado comes back and chops and kicks Claudio, but he gets Dorado in the giant swing and tosses Dorado to the corner. Claudio connects with a big uppercut on Dorado. Both men then collide and go down…Dorado is up and sends Claudio to the mat with an armdrag takedown…Claudio goes to the floor, as Dorado runs the ropes, taking down Claudio who is on the floor. Claudio then sends Dorado into the steel steps…Dorado goes up and takes down Claudio and rolls him back in the ring. Dorado rolls up Claudio for a near fall. Dorado is up on the top rope and comes off with a crossbody and is caught by Claudio and dropped with a tilt-a-whirl back breaker. Claudio covers Dorado for only a two count…its is announced that 10 minutes remain in the match. Dorado rolls up Claudio for only a two count. Claudio nails Dorado with a big uppercut, as Dorado goes down. Claudio covers Dorado for only a two count. Claudio unloads uppercuts on Dorado…Claudio grabs Dorado an hoists him up, as Dorado and Claudio are up on the top rope. Dorado sends Claudio to the mat. Dorado goes up to the top, but Claudio connects with a big uppercut! Dorado sends Claudio down to the mat and comes off the top with a huge shooting star press and covers Claudio for the win!

In-Ring: Swerve Strickland, Prince Nana, Josh Alexander, Katsuyori Shibata

Back from the break, Tony Schiavone is in the ring, welcoming Swerve Strickland. The lights in the venue go out, as its shows a burning house on the big screen. A spotlight comes up as Prince Nana says “we are in the money my friends.” The new music of Swerve hits as the former AEW World Champion makes his way to the ring with Prince Nana. The fans chant “Swerve’s House.”

Swerve grabs a mic and says its great to hear the Swerve’s House chant and asks the fans to do it one more time…He says two weeks ago he returned to Full Gear after being out for 3 months due to surgery, rehab and turning himself into the most dangerous version of Swerve anyone has seen…all for one purpose…AEW World Championships. The championships that make you public enemy number one…Swerve says the World Title sits on the shoulders of Samoa Joe. Swerve looks on the camera and says that Joe is running from Swerve…Swerve beat him last which is why Joe is running…Swerve says now he has to fight himself through waves of Opps guys to just get through to Joe to get his title…same dance, different circumstance. Swerve says Joe will fall to the the franchise…Swerve then addresses Hangman Adam Page. Swerve says there has never been a greater rivalry. Swerve asks Page if he can be in his corner at Winter Is Coming and then they will need to sit down and have a talk..Josh Alexander then interrupts Swerve and says this is Don Callis’ house now and the Don Callis has put a grip and hold on AEW. Alexander says Callis is not here and would not be caught dead in Ohio. Alexander asks who put him out with the knee injury…it was Don Callis family member Okada. Alexander says that the Don Callis family owns this house now. A fan at ringside gives the finger to Alexander who then tells him to shut his mouth…Alexander then talks about he put out other wrestlers out of action…Swerve asks Alexander what he wants. Alexander says he wants a title shot and he deserves it. Alexander then asks who should it be…Alexander says the crowd is full of freaks and they don’t deserve the match. Swerve then challenges Alexander to a match for Cardiff. Shibata comes in from behind and nails the surgically repaired knee of Swerve. Alexander then says to Swerve he will see him next week. Swerve has a angry look on his face, as Alexander walks off.


Backstage: Mercedes Mone

We go backstage with Lexy Nair, talking to Mercedes Mone’. She says she doesn’t want to talk about last night, losing the ROH Women’s World Title at Final Battle…Mone’ says she is an ultimate icon and the greatest TBS Champion of all time…she says she is tired of being disrespected. Mone’s says she will show Leila Grey there is a price to pay when you mess with Mercedes Mone.’


TBS Championship
Leila Grey vs. Mercedes Mone (c)

The music of Mercedes Mone’ hits, as the TBS Champion makes her way out and down to the ring. Next up, is Leila Grey, who comes out with Christopher Daniels. They make their way to the ring.

Mone’ goes right after Grey, attacking her, sending her to the outside. Mone’ then takes down Daniels. Grey then sends Mone’ into the ring, kicking her. Grey covers Mone’ for only a two count. Grey then drops Mone’s with a neckbreaker and covers her again, but Mone’ kicks out at two. Grey kicks Mone’s in the corner, but she comes back and connects on Grey with double knees and covers Grey for only a two count.

Back from the break, Grey sends Mone’ down with a couple of lariats and then a slingblade. Grey connects on the champion with a knee strike…Mone’ applies the statement maker, as Grey taps out.

Winner: Mercedes Mone via Submission to retain the TBS Championship.

Daniels comes in to break up the hold. Mone’ then nails Daniels from behind.

It looked like Grey may have legitimately injured her knee with the knee strike. After the match, Mone’s goes to the commentary table and says she is the greatest off all time.


Backstage: Eddie Kingston

We go to a backstage vignette with Eddie Kingston on his upcoming title match against Samoa Joe at Dynamite Winter Is Coming.


Backstage: Triangle of Madness

Back from the break, we go backstage with Triangle of Madness attacking what look like local talent. Julia Hart and Skye Blue in unison say “sisters of sin come for the win.” Thekla then says, looking at the camera – “see you in Cardiff b—-es.”


AEW National Championship
Ace Austin vs. Ricochet (c)

The music of Ricochet hits as he makes his way out and down to the ring with Gates of Agony. Next up, the music of Ace Austin as he makes his way down to the ring.

The bell rings, as Ace takes down Ricochet, who then gets out of the hold. Ricochet runs at Ace, who then takes him down with a side headlock. Ace covers Ricochet for only a two count. Ricochet rolls to the floor and walks around the ring. Ace runs the ropes , as then takes down Ricochet and covers him for a two count. Ricochet rolls to the floor and grabs the bell hammer. The ref grabs it from Ricochet and as the refs back is turned, Ricochet nails Ace, sending him to the floor.

Back from the break, Ace is in the corner. Ricochet runs at Ace, who moves out of the way, landing on the back of his neck and head. Ace then kicks the champ and takes him down with a leg drop. Ace then connects on Ricochet in the corner, pounding away on Ricochet. Ace fights off Toa Leona outside the ring…Ace drops the champ and covers him for only a two count. Ricochet then connects on Ace with a standing drop kick, followed by a shooting star press Ricochet covers Ace, but he kicks out at two. Ricochet goes for a Spirit Gun as Ace ducks…Ace puts the champ up on the top rope. Ace drops Ricochet with big superplex! Ace connects on Ricochet with a bellringer and covers Ricochet for only a two count! Ace goes for the fold, but Ricochet moves the ref in the way. Ricochet then nails Ace with both hands in the face, then picks him up and slams him down, to cover him for the win to retain.

Winner: Ricochet via Pinfall to retain the AEW National Championship.

After the match, FTR hit the ring, attacking Ace Austin…Juice Robinson and Austin Gunn run down to make the save. After briefly being taken down, Bang Bang Gang recovers sending FTR out of the ring. One tag title belt is left in the ring. Ace chucks it at Cash, as it hits him in the face as he tries to catch it.


Continental Classic 2025 Blue League Match
Jon Moxley vs. Konosuke Takeshita

Back from the break, the music of the Death Riders hits, as Jox Moxley makes his way to the ring, through the crowd. Next up, the music of Konosuke Takeshita. The IWGP World Heavyweight Champion makes his way to the ring. It was noted on commentary, the IWGP champion has never lost in AEW – 8-0.

The bell rings, as we are underway with a holy s— chant. the fans are on their feet, as both men lock up. Mox grabs the arm of Takeshita and then takes him down to the mat. Mox grabs Takeshita from behind and takes him down. Both men are up, as Mox shoves Takeshita and takes him to the mat with a side headlock. Takeshita then applies a head scissors on Takeshita, turning into a leg lock. Takeshita breaks the hold. Both men get into a shoving match, as Takeshita then takes down Mox with a big elbow. Mox landed on his ankle. He chops Takeshita and then drops to the mat. Takeshita grabs the ankle of Mox, wrapping his legs around the ring post. Mox sits in a chair at ringside, as Takeshita grabs the leg of Mox and slams it into the barricade. Takeshita rolls Mox back in the ring. Takeshita picks up Mox and twists the ankle, sending Mox down.

Back from the break, Takeshita kicks the left ankle of Mox. Takeshita charges at the IWGP champ, but is met with a big right hand by Mox. Takeshita goes after Mox again, but Mox stomps Takeshita’s head into the ring apron. Takeshita rolls back in the ring, as Mox picks up Takeshita, who counters with a German Suplex on Max and then a clothesline. Both men are down! The fans start an AEW chant. Both men are up and exchange elbow shots in the center of the ring. It is announced ten minutes remain in the match. Both men hold each other up, as both men runs the ropes and take each other down in the center of the ring.

Mox picks up Takeshita, who goes for a full nelson…Mox counters with a cross armbar. Mox then switches to an ankle lock on Takeshita. We go into overtime on TNT and HBO Max! Mox stomps on the ankle of Takeshita. The ref checks on the ankle of Takeshita. Mox tries to piledrive Takeshita on the apron, but Takeshita counters it. The IWGP goes to run the ropes, but his ankle gives out…Mox is on the outside. Takeshita then runs the ropes again and flies over the ropes, taking down Mox on the floor…Takeshita tries to use the announce table, but most of it collapses. Takeshita then picks up Mox and drops him on the one edge of the table that still stands. The ref begins the ten count…Mox makes it back in the ring at nine! Takeshita comes off the top with a huge frog splash…Takeshita covers Mox – 1, 2, NO! MOX KICKS OUT! Mox then rolls up Takeshita for only a two count. Mox drops Takeshita with a cutter with five-minutes to go. Takeshita then works on the injured ankle of Mox. Takeshita is slapped by Mox, as Mox takes down Takeshita with a DDT. Mox covers Takeshita, but the IWGP champ gets his feet on the bottom rope. Mox runs the ropes, hits Takeshita and then nails him with jabs…Takeshita then nails Mox with a knee and covers Mox, but he won’t stay down! Takeshits connects with another knee and then drops Mox with a ranging fire and covers Mox for the win!

Winner: Konosuke Takeshita via Pinfall.

After the match, the Death Riders come out and down to the ring to check on Mox, as the show goes off the air.
