Kyle Fletcher Comments on His Loss to Jon Moxley at AEW Worlds End 2025 & Missing Screwdriver
Saturday’s AEW Worlds End 2025 event in Hoffman Estates, Illinois featured Jon Moxley defeating Kyle Fletcher in the Semifinal Round of this year’s Continental Classic tournament. This match was notable for Fletcher ripping off several turnbuckles coverings searching for a screwdriver that was meant for him to use as an illegal weapon. This missing screwdriver had been used earlier by fellow Don Callis Family member Kazuchika Okada during his Semifinal Round match and victory against Konosuke Takeshita.
Following the show, AEW released a backstage video featuring Fletcher reflecting on his loss to Moxley to eliminate him from this year’s tournament and his issues with the missing screwdriver and how this will lead to “some hard conversations” with Don Callis.
“I really didn’t think that I would end up here again. One year later, Worlds End, same place, same tournament, same result. Last year, I won the Blue League, this year I won the Gold League and lost in the semis. And losing to a former four-time AEW World Champion, former International Champion, former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion, he’s one of the literal best of all time. But I don’t care.
I keep saying that I’m going to go down as the greatest wrestler of all time but if I can’t get the job done when it matters, who cares?
That’s not even mentioning the screwdriver. Where was the screwdriver? That’s a lot of hard conversations I’m going to have to have.
And now 2025 ends exactly where 2024 did. I am aimless. No championship, what’s next? What’s next for the Protostar Kyle Fletcher? I sincerely, truly do not know.”
"One year later. Worlds End. Same place, same tournament, same result."

MJF Comments on Why He Still Wears His Dynamite Diamond Ring Despite Not Being Current Winner
This past Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite on 34th Street 2025 show featured Bandido defeating Ricochet to become the winner of this year’s Dynamite Diamond Ring. This was the first time in AEW history that MJF did not win the Dynamite Diamond Ring nor competed to defend his ring.
Mostly Sports held a recent interview with MJF. One of the topics discussed included MJF’s thoughts about why he still wears his Dynamite Diamond Ring in AEW despite him not being the current winner of the ring. This interview was held prior to AEW’s Worlds End 2025 event and MJF’s AEW World Championship victory at the event.
“So, here’s the deal. Think of this as a Super Bowl ring. Just because this guy won it doesn’t retract all the ones that I’ve won year after year after year after year.
Are we up to five or six? I don’t even know. I’ve lost count, frankly. Genuinely, I’ve lost count. It might be six. So, congrats to this guy. He won the ring this year because I wasn’t involved in it. And my boss is a mark and hates my guts, he decided to make this the first year where if you win the ring, you don’t just win money, you also get a guaranteed title shot at Maximum Carnage.
I thought that was a little f—ing weird, that I’ve won this ring year after year and I never got a title shot out of it. But anyway, c’est la vie.”
