“Speedball” Mike Bailey Comments on His Retirement Plans for His Wrestling Career

“Speedball” Mike Bailey recently released a new vlog on his official YouTube channel. One of the topics discussed included Bailey’s thoughts about his current retirement plans for his wrestling career.

“Have I ever told you about my plans for retirement in pro wrestling? Announce a big tour, make t-shirts. Build up to one final match, and then I’m just going to go on this whole tour for six months, have the big final ceremony match, everyone in the ring crying, hugging, make a documentary, and I’ll just take a booking the next week and just keep wrestling after that.”

Backstage Update on AEW Dark Returning For One Week Only

As noted before, AEW recently announced that AEW Dark will be returning for a one night only special called AEW Dark Stocking Stuffer on Tuesday, December 16th on their official YouTube channel.

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that the reason why AEW decided to bring back their AEW Dark series for a one night only show was due to AEW CEO Tony Khan wanted to make sure the fans at this past Saturday’s AEW Collision show in Cardiff, Wales had the chance to get something unique and special.

Khan reportedly also wanted to showcase more of the roster in front of the Cardiff audience as another reason for his decision.

Tony Khan Comments on Vancouver Hosting AEW Dynasty 2026

As noted before, AEW announced on Monday that next year’s Dynasty 2026 event will be taking place on April 12, 2026 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Vancouver-based newspaper The Province held a recent interview with AEW CEO Tony Khan. One of the topics discussed included Khan’s thoughts about the city of Vancouver hosting next year’s AEW Dynasty event.

“(We) made our Vancouver debut in May 2024 with AEW Collision. It was an amazing crowd. They were incredibly passionate and had such a high respect and knowledge for AEW that I knew I wanted to bring the city a pay-per-view event in the future. Vancouver has had some great wrestling events through the years, but I’m confident that AEW Dynasty will be one of the best wrestling events ever held in Vancouver.”

Khan also gave his thoughts about his belief that 2025 was the best year so far in terms of quality for AEW television shows and pay-per-view events.

“Every week this year I’ve been proud of the AEW TV shows, I’m beating myself up after the weekly TV shows less than ever.

In particular, I think that in 2025, AEW Collision: Grand Slam Australia, AEW Dynamite: Spring BreakThru, episode 300, Grand Slam Mexico, Blood & Guts and this past week’s Winter Is Coming events were all among the best wrestling TV shows that AEW has ever produced. As incredible as those TV events were, I believe that our track record on PPV this year is even more impressive. I think that we are poised to hit even greater heights in 2026, and AEW Dynasty at Rogers Arena on Sunday, April 12 will be a key event to achieve that goal.”
