As noted before, deathmatch legend and indies wrestler Nick Gage has been out of action from wrestling since this past October due to him entering a treatment program.
Game Changer Wrestling owner Brett Lauderdale provided an update earlier today on Twitter prasing Gage for the remarkable turnaround he has had for his life since he underwent rehab. Lauderdale also stated that Gage had went “face to face with death” on October 1st before he went into treatment.
“On oct 1st, this guy was face to face with death
in less than 3 months, the turnaround is shocking & remarkable
this is what it looks like when you break free from decades of addiction and finally start believing in yourself
the king is back and i couldn’t be more proud MDK”

In a follow-up post, Lauderdale thanked WWE Hall of Famer Sean “X-Pac” Waltman hinting that Waltman played a role in helping Gage’s recovery.
