Frankie Kazarian Comments on TNA Impact’s Debut on AMC Will Be Most Important Show in TNA History

A recent episode of the Busted Open After Dark podcast featured current TNA World Champion Frankie Kazarian as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Kazarian’s thoughts about TNA’s recent announcement of their new television deal with AMC.

“A little bit surreal but, honestly, very, very amazing, and so much hard work went into this from the roster to the management to just everybody on the team and you know, this is a huge moment for TNA. I was privileged enough to be in Nashville when we were told we were going from weekly pay-per-views to FOX. You know, at a 4 PM timeslot on a Friday, and then to get the news we’re going to Spike TV which was giant. Dare I say, this is the most significant move we’ve made and in terms of a mainstream television network in the history of this company and to be the guy leading the charge as the World Champion, that’s not lost on me… You said I’m smiling. A lot of times, I’m known for not smiling a lot but, I have nothing not to smile about. I’m having the time of my life and this is a great time to be a wrestler in TNA, it’s a great time to be a wrestling fan.”

In response to co-host Bully Ray’s comments about his belief that the Impact! debut show on AMC will be the most important show in TNA history, Kazarian responded stating:

“I agree. And you know, I’m saying right now, now the work begins. A lot of work has gone into this but, it’s time to put up or shut up. It’s time to put our foot on the gas and really show the world, show a much bigger audience what TNA is all about and we have been about for the past 20 years. AMC is a big, big player, and this is their first venture into the live sports avenue. But when you look at their scripted dramas they’ve had, I mean, biggest shows of the last decade, two decades, when you’re talking about Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul and Walking Dead and Mad Men and all these incredible shows so, the bar’s already pretty high for us. But I have full confidence in our team that we can give them something very, very special.”

Carlos Silva Comments on New TV Deal with AMC Being a Game Changer for TNA

A recent episode of the Battleground Podcast featured TNA President Carlos Silva as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Silva’s thoughts about how TNA’s new television deal with AMC will be a game changer for the company.

“Look, I think the first and most obvious [difference] is that AMC is a foundational cable network in America. It’s on the first page of everyone’s guide. It’s probably a network that you might have watched over the last couple of days already. You’re going to see promotion throughout the network every day about what’s going to be happening on Thursday Night Impact on AMC.

And, you know, aside from all of the other integrations and things we can do together and the teams working together and the sponsor teams working together and the creative teams working together — we’re going to be on a network that everyone is going to be able to find, see, and with a big, huge audience. And that’s going to change the game for our wrestlers. It’s going to change the game for the team. It’s going to change the game for TNA.”

Chris Bey Provides Update on His Broken Neck Injury

As noted before, Chris Bey has been out of action for TNA Wrestling since October of 2024 due to a broken neck injury and surgery.

A recent episode of the Wrestling Observer Live featured Bey as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Bey providing an update on his current health and recovery from his broken neck injury.

“In reality, my lower back is still very tight and inflamed. Airplanes destroy my legs right now and are inflaming my legs a lot. I have days where I get out of bed and I have to just tell myself to not do anything all day and I just lay in the house and have to rest.

I’m out of physical therapy now, but I do a lot of maintenance on my body like shock wave treatments, cupping, dry needling in my neck. I do a lot of different things to try to, relieve some of the pain that I’m going through, and at first my body was still numb even after I first got on my feet up until maybe, July.

My legs, you know, my waist down was still pretty numb. I could probably only feel 30% of it, 40% of it.

I know if someone came in here and was chasing me, I’m not gonna escape, you know, so, so I know the difference between what was normal. But this is 100 times better than where I was a year ago from today, so I, I don’t complain about it.

Whereas now I’m getting a lot of feeling back, which is great, but now it’s turning into the pain that I didn’t feel initially because I just couldn’t feel. So when I’m walking, I feel it in my hips, I feel it in my knees, I feel it in my low back if I’m standing for long periods of time. I feel my low back starting to compress, if I’m sitting or laying down, no matter what, it activates my spasms whenever I stand up and have to move again.“
