TNA Impact TV Taping Spoilers from El Paso, TX – Two Matches Set for TNA Genesis 2026

TNA Wrestling a new set of Impact! television tapings on Saturday at the El Paso Coliseum in El Paso, Texas.

This taping was for the build for the fallout of Final Resolution 2025 and for the build up to this January’s Impact! premiere show on AMC and Genesis 2026 event.

In regards to notable moments from the tapings, two new matches were announced for the card of Genesis 2026 on January 17, 2026 at Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, Texas.

The first new match was a TNA World Championship match of Mike Santana vs. Frankie Kazarian (c). The second new match was a JDC Retirement match of JDC vs. Eddie Edwards.

TNA Xplosion:

• Jake Something defeated Jesse Funaki
• Jody Threat defeated Jada Stone
• The IInspiration (Jessie McKay & Cassie Lee) defeated Rosemary & Killer Kelly

TNA iMPACT!:

• TNA World Champion Frankie Kazarian came out for his King’s Speech talk show segment. This led to Mike Santana coming out to interrupt Kazarian and challenged Kazarian for his TNA World title at Genesis 2026. It was announced that this match was made official for the show.
• Team NXT (Brooks Jensen, Stacks, Lexis King, & The High Ryze (Tyson Dupont & Tyrieke Igwe)) was seen backstage talking about their upcoming Steel Cage match against Team TNA.
• Lexis King defeated Matt Cardona. During the match, Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo interfered helping King pick up the victory, Following the match, King & Stacks attacked Cardona leading to Steve Maclin running out to save Cardona.
• The Elegances (Heather & M By Elegance) defeated Harley Hudson & Myla Grace
• TNA X-Division Championship #1 Contender Six-way match – Cedric Alexander defeated BDE, Jason Hotch, Ryan Nemeth, Dezmond Xavier, and Jake Something
• Rich Swann gave a promo backstage saying that he is out of FIR$T CLA$$. AJ Francis responded by attacking Swann in return.
• Mara Sade attacks Ryan Nemeth again
• It was announced that JDC vs. Eddie Edwards for JDC’s retirement match was made official for Genesis 2026
• TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella and Frankie Kazarian were seen backstage. Marella told Kazarian that he would be defending his title against the winner of a 20-Man Battle Royal at next week’s show.
• The System (Brian Myers & Eddie Edwards) defeated Sinner & Saint (Judas Icarus & Travis Williams)
• TNA World Tag Team Champions The Hardys (Matt Hardy & Jeff Hardy) gave a promo calling out The Righteous (Vincent & Dutch). This led to the Righteous coming out in return.
• Santino Marella announced that he will be replacing Matt Cardona in the Steel Cage match due to Cardona not being cleared to compete after the attack by Lexis King and Stacks earlier to him.
• Dog Collar match – Dani Luna defeated Indi Hartwell
• TNA World Championshio #1 Contender 20-Man Battle Royal match – Bear Bronson won. It was announced that Bronson will challenge Frankie Kazarian for the TNA World title at a later date.
• Angel Warriors (Lei Ying Lee & Xia Brookside) defeated Tessa Blanchard & Mila Moore
• Elijah came out to perform a live concert. This led to Order 4’s Tasha Steelz coming out to interrupt and Mustafa Ali smashing a guitar on Elijah’s head to lay him out.
• Steel Cage match – Team TNA (Mike Santana, Steve Maclin, The Hardys (Matt & Jeff Hardy) &, Santino Marella) defeated Team NXT (Brooks Jensen, Stacks, Lexis King, & The High Ryze (Tyson Dupont & Tyrieke Igwe)). Following the match, NXT liaison Arianna Grace gave a low blow to her father Santino. Grace and Stacks attack Marella leading to Santana and Maclin making the save.
