WWE’s contract with Peacock for their library of content on the service is set to expire at the end of this year. Today is the final day of WWE’s deal with Peacock and a significant portion of their library is expected to be removed on January 1, 2026, including their WCW, ECW, and territories era libraries.
Fightful Select reported that as of today, elements of WWE’s deal with Peacock have expired and Peacock has begun the process of removing WWE library content from their streaming service.
In regards to the future of the WWE library, it was reported that those spoken to stated that WWE officials are still exploring their options, which means no imminent deal for the library with another service is expected at the moment. It was reported that those within WWE currently believe the company instead will slowly roll out the library content on YouTube platforms, which is something WWE had already begun doing in 2025 with the creation of their WWE, NXT, WCW archival channels.
It was also reported that while it has yet to be confirmed, there is a belief that WWE has a deal with Google, who owns YouTube, and that is described as being “favorable” due to WWE’s own channel performs quite well on the streaming website.
It was also reported that it is also believed that WWE is also working on a non-exclusive host for their library in addition to YouTube but there are currently no plans to mass release all of their content unless a separate deal with a service to host their library is reached.
