Arianna Grace Turns Heel & Attacks Her Father Santino Marella at Dec. 18th TNA Impact! Show
Thursday’s TNA Impact! show featured Team TNA (Mike Santana, The Hardys (Matt & Jeff Hardy), Steve Maclin, Santino Marella) defeating Team NXT (Lexis King, Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo, Brooks Jensen, & The High Ryze (Tyson Dupont & Tyriek Igwe)) in a 10-Man Steel Cage match that was held under WarGames style rules.
This match was notable for a post-match angle involving everyone except Marella and Stacks leaving the cage and Marella waiting for his soon to be son-in-law Stacks to get up on his feet. This led to NXT liason and Marella’s daughter Arianna Grace entering the cage and locked the cage door behind her. Grace then went up to her father and the two gave a hug. This turned out to just be a ruse and Grace gave a low blow kick to her father laying him out.
This then led to Steve Maclin climbing the cage to get to Stacks as Stacks climbed out of it and confronted Grace over what she did. Grace got into a shouting argument with Maclin and berated Santana at ringside calling him a deadbeat just like her father. Grace then left the cage and went up to the ramp to reunite with Stacks and the two kissed as the show went to a close.
In an interesting note, while Grace had been acting face-like on TNA shows, she had recently been acting more heelish and being together with Stacks in recent weeks on WWE NXT shows.

In a recent interview with WKYC, Tenta provided an update on the status of her training to become a pro wrestler. Tenta stated “There are some times that I do… if I’m stepping into the ring… running the ropes… sometimes there are flickers of that… I’m trying to learn some of my dad’s moves. I feel like since I’ve started training, it has rounded me out. I feel like I’m healing parts of that 17-year-old after my dad died. It’s still the same Joanna. When I’m at the hospital, my whole role is caring for others and so there’s a level of sensitivity and care and attention that I have to provide. Here, I kind of let loose here. I get to be myself.” Tenta’s trainer and wrestler Dominic Garrini also provided an update on the progress of her training. Garrini stated “It is absolutely insane how far she’s come. She came here very timid, very scared and now she’s invited into the intermediate class.“

Rugido stated “Hello friends, I want to share with you that it is time to take a necessary break from my career as an athlete to work on my recovery and rehabilitation, since the human being behind the mask needs his body, especially his knee, to recover after so many years of effort and dedication to making this dream called wrestling come true, and not just anywhere, but, thank God, joining the company I always dreamed of since I was a child, my home, CMLL. Thanks to these wonderful years, I have had the opportunity to fulfill amazing dreams such as wrestling in Japan and the USA, as well as participating in important events in Mexico and around the world, achieving significant accomplishments such as becoming world champion and national tag team champion. I am infinitely grateful to my company #CMLL, to the people involved for supporting and backing me from the very first second of what happened, to my boss Mr. Salvador Lutteroth Lomelí, and of course to the great doctors in charge at CEVAFIN Sports Medicine, who, thanks to their immediate attention and great professionalism, ensured my integrity. My heartfelt and lifelong gratitude goes to Dr. Marco Acuña, Dr. Pao, and the medical team that performed this successful surgery. To my doctor friends who have been looking after me with their care and attention. And from the bottom of my heart, thank you to my family, all my friends, and fans, who took the time to write to me during my absence from the Arena Mexico and Arena Puebla shows. Your messages and kindness have given me the wonderful blessing of feeling accompanied. Now, friends, I will work to feel happy, fulfilled, and confident, as well as to deliver an improved version of myself in the ring. Greetings to all the press who have followed and reported on the growth of my career over the years. Hugs from your friend RUGIDO. PS: #ruazaaaaaaa” (English translation via Fightful.com)
