Hiromu Takahashi Issues Challenge to HOUSE OF TORTURE for IWGP Jr. Tag Titles at NJPW New Year Dash 2026

The November 26th NJPW World Tag League 2025 event in Sendai, Japan featured Gedo, Hiromu Takahashi, & David Finlay defeating Zane Jay & Monster Sauce (Alex Zayne & Lance Archer) in a Six-Man Tag Team match.

NJPW recently released a backstage video featuring Gedo, Takahashi, and Finlay talking about their match victory and Finlay and Takahashi’s current points standing in B Block of this year’s World Tag League tournament.

Takahashi then stated that he wants to team up with Gedo and issued a challenge to HOUSE OF TORTURE’s DOUKI & SHO for their IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship at NJPW’s New Year Dash 2026 event, which takes place on January 5, 2026 at the Ota-City General Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan.

Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling recently announced that Sareee will be making an appearance for the company at their Grand Princess 2026 event on March 29, 2026 in Tokyo, Japan.

House of Glory recently announced that WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle will be making an appearance for the company at their fan meet & greet event prior to the start of their City of Angeles event on January 30, 2026 in Los Angeles, California.

Deadline reported that Daria Berenato, former Sonya Deville in WWE, recently joined eh cast for an upcoming new comedy horror film titled Zombois. This upcoming new film reportedly will begin production this month in Atlanta, Georgia

DDT Pro Wrestling recently announced that Soma Takao will be taking a break from in-ring wrestling in January of 2026 in order to tend to a lingering left knee injury he has been dealing with for some time.

Post Wrestling’s John Pollock reported that a scary fan incident took place at an event called Event Horizon for C*4 Wrestling this past Friday in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. This incident reportedly involved two fans running into the ring and attempted to attack a referee leading to security rushing into the ring and grabbed the two fans before they could land any punches. These two fans reportedly claimed that it was just an angle and they were part of the show but C*4 owner Mark Pollesel stated that this was not an angle. The two fans were ejected from the fan and the show continued after some delay.

In a recent interview with the Scaredycast podcast, Killer Kross, former Karrion Kross in WWE, stated that he is currently working on a script for a potential new horror film. Kross stated “I think I’d want to do a new horror genre, and invent something new for people. I’m working on a horror script right now. It’s nowhere close to being finished, to be totally honest.
