John Cena Responds to WWE’s Tribute Video To Him

As noted before, WWE recently released a video featuring several WWE Superstars, personalities, and cameraman Stu paying tribute to John Cena ahead of his retirement match at this Saturday’s WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event show in Washington, D.C.

Cena responded on Thursday on Twitter to WWE’s tribute video to him and thanking everyone he has the chance to share the ring, discuss the business, learn from, and all of those behind-the-scenes who make what WWE does special.

“No one does it alone. Thank you to ALL I’ve ever had the chance to share canvas with, discuss the business, learn from, and all those who behind the scenes make what we do special. Saturday is for ALL of us. Let’s go to work! One Last Time!!!”

Gunther Comments on Him Having “Different Expectations” for John Cena’s Than Goldberg’s Retirement Match

The New York Posts Sports held a recent interview with Gunther. One of the topics discussed included Gunther’s thoughts about him having different expectations for his upcoming match against John Cena for Cena’s retirement match than he did for his match against Goldberg for Goldberg’s retirement match at this past July’s WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event show.

“Goldberg, I was very pleased with the outcome of that, I think. Obviously, I had different expectations in that match than I have with the match on Saturday. I’m expecting at least a little bit more out of that because John (Cena) is such a way more skilled wrestler than Goldberg was. He was very limited in what he could do, so, very different scenarios I think. But yeah, let’s see. I’m very focused on Saturday now…”

Gunther also gave his thoughts about if he felt he got the most out of Goldberg for Goldberg’s retirement match.

“I think so and like I said, without diminishing him or something, he was never known to be the guy with the biggest repertoire or something like that. He was the guy who had to do two or three things really well and he’s done that, and I think for all his circumstances, I think I was very pleased with the match we had.”

Gunther also gave his thoughts about the online criticisms from some people who feel he is not the idea final opponent for Cena’s wrestling career.

“I’m not bothered. I went out on Raw on Monday to send a few words towards him as the only chance I had, and I could feel that energy from the audience where it’s kind of like they don’t want me to stand there and claim that for me. But I enjoyed it. I think that’s great. That’s what I’m here for, to antagonize people and if they are antagonized which they seem to be, then I succeeded and I thrive off that.”

Gunther also gave his thoughts about how he wished he could have had an in-ring promo segment with Cena for the build for Cena’s retirement match.

“Oh yeah, for sure. I mean, he’s like maybe the best on the mic to ever do it or one of the best. People can argue whatever they want about those things but he’s definitely in the top category. So it would have been good for experience-wise to get the chance. Didn’t work out. It’s fine. It is what it is. I’m more focused on the match anyway.”

Montez Ford Reportedly Not Identity of Mystery Masked Person at Dec. 8th WWE RAW Show

As noted before, this past Monday’s WWE RAW show featured a mystery masked person making a surprise return appearance and helped The Vision’s Logan Paul defeat LA Knight in the main event. WWE is currently believed to be having different people portray this mystery person in order to throw fans off from correctly guessing who it is before the official reveal.

Bryan Alvarez reported in a recent episode of the Wrestling Observer Live that his sources stated that the identity of the mystery masked person at this past Monday’s WWE RAW show was not Montez Ford as had been rumored online.

Alvarez reported that social media users attempting to determine the attacker’s identity based on his physique, specifically based on his butt, was the reason why many had concluded that it was Ford underneath the mask and hoodie.

Alvarez reported that while he currently does not know who the masked wrestler was at this past Monday’s RAW show, he was told specifically that it was not Ford.

Austin Theory has been rumored to be the person who will eventually be revealed as the identity of the mystery attacker based on past reports and rumors of WWE having plans for him to join The Vision.
