Tony D’Angelo Makes Surprise Return
Saturday’s WWE NXT Deadline 2025 event also featured Tony D’Angelo making his surprise return.
Following Je’Von Evans victory in the Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge match, Evans shook Leon Slater and Myles Borne’s hands while Dion Lennox left the ring when Evans offered a handshake as well in praise of the match they all just had. Evans then celebrated in the ring leading to NXT Champion Oba Femi’s music playing and came out to the stage to staredown his new challenger for his belt. This then lead to the lights going off and a video airing on the big screen showing a blurry visual of a mystery person walking on a bridge at night. After the video ended, Evans and Femi were seen giving puzzled looks in return. This led to D’Angelo being shown in the ring and attacked Evans laying him out. D’Angelo then poured out the same materials that NXT GM Ava revealed from a package she received during this past Tuesday’s NXT show.
