Blake Monroe vs. Thea Hail for NXT Women’s North American Title Announced for NXT New Year’s Evil 2026

Tuesday’s taped WWE NXT show featured one new match announced for the card of NXT New Year’s Evil 2026, which takes place on January 6, 2026 at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.

This new match announced was a NXT Women’s North American Championship match of Blake Monroe vs. Thea Hail (c).

This new match was setup following an in-ring promo segment involving Hail and Monroe that ended in a brawl that was quickly separated by NXT officials and security. It was announced afterwards that this match was made official for the show.

Tavion Heights & Lexis King Advances in WWE Speed Men’s Title #1 Contender Tournament

Tuesday’s taped WWE NXT show also featured the start of WWE’s newest WWE Speed Men’s Championship #1 Contender tournament and two First Round matches.

The first match was Tavion Heights defeating Eli Knight.

The second match was Lexis King defeating Andre Chase.

As a result of their victories, Heights will be facing off against King in the Finals of WWE’s Speed Men’s Championship #1 Contender tournament at next week’s show on December 30th.
