We begin with highlights from Deadline.

In-Ring: Oba Femi, Ricky Saints, Je’Von Evans

NXT Men’s World Champion Oba Femi makes his way to the ring.  

Oba says power, true power.  It doesn’t bend, it doesn’t break, it doesn’t beg.  It watches the world around it.  This is true power.  He is a two time champion.  The stars aligned for Ricky Saints a No Mercy.  NXT was not the same without him on top.  The universe did what it did best.  It found a way to correct itself.  He rose from the ashes to reclaim his title.  The title belongs here.  It belongs on his shoulder.  He says he is done with Ricky Saints.  On Saturday, he will stand across the ring from Cody Rhodes.  He will not see the future and potential.  He will see the now in all of his glory.

Ricky Saints interrupts and he makes his way to the ring.

Ricky tells Oba he wants to be the first to congratulate him.  Prophecy fulfilled.  His bag is lighter because you did what you said you would do.  Ricky says he shook Oba’s hand because he is man enough to admit that Oba was the better man at Deadline.  Ricky had to think about what is next for him.  He sees Oba with the belt and he says that is it.  He won’t get another chance to regain that.  Then he remembered who the hell he is.  He is Absolute Ricky Saints.  If you think he is going to bow down and go to the side, you are wrong.  He says he is coming about what is his.  You talk about the universe correcting itself.  Ricky says he is steering it back on course.  It is Ricky Saints 1 and Oba Femi 1.  He says he is demanding his rematch.

Je’Von Evans comes out and he wants to know what is going on.  He says he ain’t gonna lie and he wasn’t going to interrupt.  He watched Deadline over and over and over and over again.  He survived the Iron Survivor Challenge.  Because of that, he earned a title match at New Year’s Evil.  Then, that made him wonder.  Why wait until January to have that match?  He says he is on fire and he is locked in.  He says he is ready right now and no one is going to dictate his moment.  He suggests that he has his title match tonight.

Ricky tells Evans to hold on.  He wants to know what is the rush.  You are on a roll so what is the rush.  Ricky says if he gets his rematch it would be them for the title.  You have been there for him every step of the way.  Are you sure this is what you want?

Evans says everyone is telling him to wait.  People tell him he is the future, but he is the right now.  He says he doesn’t need the stars to align.  He says he doesn’t mean to be cocky but no one is talking to him at age 21.  That is the play right now.  He says Oba is the man he has to beat for the title.  If there is anyone he is putting money on tonight, it is himself.

Ricky says he is with it.  It is Evans’ time.

Oba asks the beltless and titleless people if are going to tell him what to do?

Ricky asks if Oba is saying no to the Iron Survivor.  Evans says that Oba is scared.  Evans says he has Oba’s number.

Oba says he is not afraid of Evans and you have never beaten him.  It will be no different tonight.  He says ‘Game On’.

Backstage: Tatum Paxley

We are back and Tatum Paxley tells Izzi she said she would end this hopeless and pathetic version of herself.  You did it.  She is all gone now.  Tatum says she has nothing left to lose, but you do.  You stabbed her in her back and separated her heart from her mind because she didn’t want to play your way.  Now we are going to play her way.  It will eventually be you and me, alone together.

Kelani Jordan vs. Jordynne Grace

They fight in the aisle and Grace with a clothesline.  Grace with a shoulder from the apron and a Thesz Press followed by punches.  Grace with slams.  Kelani escapes a slam but Grace with a Michinoku Driver for a near fall.  They exchange slaps and forearms.  Kelani escapes andGrace runs into a boot.  Grace sends Kelani into the turnbuckles and hits a running double knee strike to the back and a back elbow.  Grace misses a double jump Vader Bomb.  Kelani with a drop kick to the knee and she kicks the hamstring.  Kelani continues to work on the leg.  Kelani with elbow drops to the leg.  Grace kicks Kelani but misses a shoulder.  Grace sends Kelani to the apron and they exchange forearms.  Grace goes for the Angle German suplex off the apron but Kelani holds on.  Kelani with a kcik and Kelani goes for Spanish Fly off the apron but Grace gets her foot in the ropes to block it.  Kelani counters and tries for a sunset flip power bomb off the apron.  Grace blocks it but misses a knee drop on the apron.

Kelani slams Grace’s face and knee into the mat.  Kelani wraps the leg in the ropes.  Kelani with a forearm and a knee drop to the leg hanging in the ropes.  Kelani with kicks to the hamstring.  Grace kicks Kelani away.  Kelani is sent to the apron.  Kelani pulls Grace into the ring post and wrings the leg into the post.  Kelani goes for a ring post figure four but she decides not to do it.  Kelani gets a near fall.  Grace punches Kelani.  Kelani goes for a reverse DDT and Grace counters into a suplex.  Kelani blocks a suplex attempt and she kicks Grace in the leg and puts her in the tree of woe.  Kelani with kicks to the knee.  Kelani goes up top and Grace with a hanging belly-to-belly suplex in the tree of woe. Kelani and Grace exchange foerarms.  Grace with a rollup for a near fall.

Grace with a Stretch Muffler and then Grace with a suplex out of the Stretch Muffler.  Kelani goes to the floor and she sets for a Vertebreaker on the floor but Kelani escapes and she clips Grace.  Kelani sends Grace into the ring steps and then Kelani gets a chair and she misses Grace and hits the steps.  They return to the ring and Grace with a spine buster for a near fall.  Kelani with a body scissors.  Grace and Kelani both work on each other’s legs and they are in a double head stand and they slap each other.  Kelani runs into a boot and Grace runs Kelani into the turnbuckles and follows with a short arm clothesline.  Kelani with a front face lock and kick.  Grace with Chaos Theory for a near fall.  Grace is sent to the lloor and she pulls Kelani to the floor.  They roll through Tombstone Pile Driver Sets ups.  Grace avoids being sent into the ring steps and Grace sends Kelani into the ring steps.  Grace hits a double jump Vader Bomb off the ring steps.

Grace sends Kelani back into the ring and she grabs the chair.  The referee takes the chair and Kelani kicks Grace off the steps through the ringside barrier.  Kelani sends Grace back into the ring and Kelani with a 450 splash for the three count.

Winner: Kelani Jordan via Pinfall.

Backstage: Jordynne Grace, Thea Hail

Jordynne says everything was perfect and she says she can’t even beat rookies or Kelani.

Thea Hail says it is not time to doubt yourself.  You need to believe in yourself.

Grace asks if she is getting advice from a 16 year old.

Thea says she is 22 but she has been here since she was 18 so she is grizzled.  Then she runs out to join the rest of the women who are going to try to accept the open challenge from Blake Monroe.

Thea Hail vs. Blake Monroe (c)

Blake says she knows how much the locker room looks up to her and idolize her.  She says she is in a giving mood to give the less fortunate a chance.  Who wants some glamour in their lives?  She mentions the open challenge.

Most of them come to the ring but Thea Hail comes from the other side and she puts Blake in a kimura and Blake taps out, but the match never started.

Winner: None.

Thea acts like she won the title.

Backstage: Shiloh Hill

Kelly Kincaid is with Shiloh Hill and she mentions his first match.

Shiloh says he is a little nervous and he feels good.  He has a lot of pent up energy and he goes smash mouth on Lexis King.

Lexis King vs. Shiloh Hill

Hill sends King over the top rope to the floor and he punches King and sends him into the apron and announce table.

The referee starts the match na dhe runs King into the turnbuckles and hits a back drop.  Hill is sent into the turnbuckles and King follows with a running drop kick for a near fall.  King with a knee to the ribs.  King chops Hill.  King with a knee to the midsection.  King with a kick and a drop kick.  King sends Hill into the turnbuckles and chokes him.  King leaps into the corner and he slaps HIll.  King and Hill with clotheslines at the same time and both men are down.  

Hill takes out his mouth guard and he clotheslines King and hits a swinging neck breaker for a near fall. Hill with a flying shoulder tackle. King with a kick and a thrust kick but it angers Hill. Hill with a back body drop and a belly-to-back into a cutter for the three count.

Winner: Shiloh Hill via Pinfall.

Backstage: “All Ego” Ethan Page

Ethan Page is presented his shined North American title belt and he walks into commercial.

Backstage: Oba Femi

Kelly asks Oba about what has happened tonight and how he has to defend his title against Je’Von Evans.

Oba says when you are the champion, expect the unexpected.  It will end with him holding gold above his head.  Cody knows what to expect from Evans, but he needs to watch Oba tonight.  Who will carry Cody when he puts him to the ground on Saturday?  He says he will break the Iron Survivor.  Saturday, he will break the American Nightmare.

In-Ring: “All Ego” Ethan Page, Tony D’Angelo

NXT Men’s North American champion Ethan Page makes way to the ring.

Ethan says it does not matter when it comes to his North American championship.  He came to NXT to drink from the fountain of youth and soak up so much knowledge.  He was the only one who had the balls to ask the questions nobody was willing to ask.  While others asked how to hit the perfect drop kick, Ethan says he asked how does he break someone’s jaw.  Now the wrestlers are pre-occupied with Tik Tok and social media for that finger point photo with their childhood hero.  These are the same men he was asking so they could stay in the back staring at him with these title.  We are all going to have to watch.  We will watch John Cena have his final match in a few days.  Then we will see John walk away for good.

Ethan says he has learned that a week after he is gone, John will be a distant memory with a giant void to be fille.  A man with a giant ego.  The man who won the NXT Title in record time.  He couldn’t find his path back so he went after this to make the North American title, the most prestgious.  Every company has sent their best to try to take this title from him.  Ethan a man like that deserves a break, but he didn’t stop and he went on to win the AAA Mixed Tag Title.  It made him unique from everyone else in this company.

There are three days that are important.  The day you enter this world, the day you leave this world, and the day you realize that Ethan Page is the greatest superstar.  NXT will be perfectly fine.

The lights go out .

The lights come back on and Tony D’Angelo gives Ethan a spine buser and he drops black fabric on him.

Backstage: DarkState, Myles Borne, Joe Hendry, Leon Slater, Ava, “All Ego” Ethan Page

Dark State walk and Dion Lennox goes into Ava’s office with the other four.

Ava mentions tonight’s title match.  

They argue about who is next.

Ava says there will be a Fatal Four Way Match to face the champion at New Year’s Evil.

Ethan Page enters and he wants to know what is going on with Tony D’Angelo.

Ethan wants to know what is going on.  

Wren Sinclair vs. Sol Ruca

They lock up and Sol backs Wren into the corner but Wren with a waist lock.  Sol pushes Wren away.  Sol avodis Wren going after her knee.  Sol with a waist lock.  Sol with a Calf Crusher.  Sol iwth a side head lock.  Sol misses a kick and Wren with a rollup for a near fall.  Sol with a leaping X Factor for a near fall.  

We see Zaria in the bleachers and Sol sees her too.  Wren with a rollup for a near fall.  Sol gets a near fall.  Wren with a side head lock.  Wren with a back heel kick and a clotheslien.  Wren with a leaping face plant for a near fall.  Wren works on the leg.  Sol with elbows to escape.  Sol iwth a kick and a back elbow or two.  Wren with an Irish whip and Sol with a missile drop kick and thrust kick.  Wren with an elbow and chops.  Wren with a butterfly suplex.  Sol floats over and she kicks Wren and hits Sol Snatcher for the three count.

Winner: Sol Ruca via Pinfall.

After the match, Zaria goes down a few steps and then goes back up the bleachers.  

Sol goes into the bleachers to chase after Zaria.

Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, and Lainey Reid make their way to the ring.

In-Ring: Fatal Influence, Kendal Grey, Wren Sinclair

Jacy says that Kendal is living the Cinderella Story to go from obscurity to the Iron Survivor.  This moment is as good as it is going to get.  You have all of these people hyping you up and supporting you.  Your stock is never higher.  You are living the dream.  This is why people say they want to do this.  They want the love and support you are getting now.  Your reality is going to smack you in the face come New Year’s Evil.  Your fifteen minutes will be up when you lose.  This crash and downward spiral she will send you on will be catastrophic.  The fans will move on to the next flavor of the month.  No one will tell you the truth other than her.  Potential doesn’t win championships.  You may be the Evolve champion, but holding this title is a whole different level. 

You may have spent all year trying to make a name for yourself, but Jacy says she owned this year.  She went from being underappreciated and overlooked to being the most dominant champion.  She says she is a history maker.  She held the NXT and TNA women’s titles at the same time.  She is a two time champion.  Everybody realized what she has known all along.  She is a rock star in this ring.  She is the foundation and glue that holds this division together.

She is not going to let a bootleg Kurt Angle with a ponytail steal her spot.  You don’t stand a chance in hell of beating her.

Kendal says Jacy is right.  You had a ton of momentum, but who has momentum now.  She is a rookie and has a lot to learn, but no one expected her to win the Iron Survivor and she did.  She shocked herself.  No one expects her to beat Jacy.  No one expected Jacy to beat Stephanie.  Anything can happen in the ring.  She showed that she can rise to the occasion.  If you want to treat their match as a joke, go ahead.  

Jacy says Kendal wins one match and she thinks she can be in the most dominant faction in NXT.

Wren says they have a title now and they will have a second and you will have one.  Maybe they will make a clean sweep.

Lainey says matching jackets mean nothing.

Fallon says they will leave enough of Kendal.  

Fallon and Lainey attack Wren and Kendal.  Jacy joins in.  Wren joins the fight.  Lainey with a super kick to Wren and she punches and kicks Kendal.  

Backstage: Hank & Tank, OTM

Hank and Tank are with Kelly.

She welcomes them back to NXT.

Tank says it was bodacious and Hank says it was great.  Hank says they are ready to do what they do best.

Bronco Nima and Lucien Price show up.

Tank says they don’t forget what you did before they went to Japan.

They challenge Bronco and Lucien to a match next week.

Backstage: Ava, Blake Monroe

Blake tells Ava that they need to talk.

Ava asks how did the challenge work and Blake blames Ava for being embarrassed. 

Blake says there are no more open challenges.

Ava says that is fine.

Blake demands an apology.

Ava says Blake has to defend the title next week against Thea Hail.

Parking Lot: Zaria, Sol Ruca

Sol runs up to Zaria.

Zaria says she wants to support Sol and she wishes her luck on Saturday.

Sol says she would love for Zaria to be there on Saturday.

They tell each other they are sorry and they hug.

They say they have never had a friend like each other before.

Next Week’s Show Card Rundown

Next week, Joe Hendry, Dion Lennox, Myles Borne, and Leon Slater have a Number One Contender Match.  Blake Monroe defends the North American title against Thea Hail.

Je’Von Evans vs. Oba Femi (c)

Oba backs Evans into the corner and Oba with a clean break.  They lock up and Oba backs Evans into the corner again.  Oba with another clean break but Evans with a thrust kick and he goes for the springboard cutter but Oba catches Evans.  Evans with a flying knee for a near fall.  Oba sends Evans into the turnbuckles but Evans with punches.  Oba misses a kick in the corner and Evans with punches.  Oba with a forearm that knocks Evans to the mat.  Evans with a rebound spinning heel kick for a near fall.  Evans is run into the turnbuckles by Oba.  Oba with a punch and Irish whip.  Oba with a delayed back breaker.  Oba stands on Evans’ chest.  Oba with a rear chin lock.  Evans with elbows but Oba holds on.  Evans sends Oba into the turnbuckles and he follows with a drop kick that sends Oba to the floor.

Evans goes to the apron an Oba misses a chop.  Evans with a back heel kick and Oba pulls Evans off the apron and he lands face first on the apron.  Evans with a springboard Asia Moonsault and Oba catches Evans.  Evans sends Oba into the apron.  Oba chops Evans on the apron.  Oba hot shots Evans onto the apron.  Oba sends Evans back into the ring.  Evans with an inside cradle for a near fall.  Oba kicks Evans in the back.  Oba with more kicks and he connects with a forearm in a front face lock.  Oba with a suplex and he does some sit ups.  Evans with punches.  Oba with a uranage back breaker for a near fall.  Oba sets for a power bomb but Evans collapses to the mat.

Oba has some words for Evans but Evans with punches.  Oba with a double sledge to the back.  Oba goes for a power bomb but Evans is able to send them over the top rope to the floor.  Oba sets for a power bomb on the floor and Evans with a rana to counter.  Oba goes for a spear but Evans moves out of the way and Oba is sent over the announce table.   The referee starts his count.  Evans gets back into the ring and Oba beats the count.  Evans with a springboard frog splash to the back and then Evans goes up top and he hits another frog splash for a near fall.  Evans with punches.  Oba misses a punches and Evans with a punch and enzuigiri.  Oba goes to the floor and Evans with a plancha onto Oba.

Evans sends Oba back into the ring and Oba with a springboard move into a forearm.  Oba with a splash to Evans.  Evans with a German suplex and Oba pops up.  Evans with a cutter for a near fall.  Evans goes for a rebound move but Oba with an uppercut for a near fall.   Oba with tosses Evans but Evans with a cutter and a double jump cutter but . . . 

the referee is pulled from the ring by Ricky Saints.

Evans takes care of Saints and hits a rebound spinning heel kick.  Oba with a clothesline and an uppercut into the corner.  Oba with an other uppercut.  Oba with a power bomb for the three count.

Winner: Oba Femi via Pinfall to retain the NXT Championship.

Oba stares at Ricky Saints and walks past him.
