AEW held a new tapings for AEW Collision on Wednesday at the Arizona Financial Theater in Phoenix, Arizona.
This taping will be for this week’s AEW Collision Maximum Carnage 2026 special on Saturday, January 17th on TNT and HBO MAX.
This taping was held as part of AEW’s Dynamite Maximum Carnage 2026 show at the same venue that night.
In regards to notable moments from the tapings, Hangman Adam Page & JetSpeed (Kevin Knight & “Speedball” Mike Bailey) defeated The Opps (Powerhouse Hobbs, Katsuyori Shibata, & Samoa Joe) to become the new AEW World Trios Champions.

- AEW World Trios Championship – Hangman Adam Page & JetSpeed (Kevin Knight & “Speedball” Mike Bailey) defeated The Opps (Powerhouse Hobbs, Katsuyori Shibata, & Samoa Joe) (c)
- Tony Schiavone held an interview with AEW World Tag Team Champions FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) and Stokely Hathaway. Hathaway praised the Don Callis Family for winning the top contendership and said they have it all except the ability to beat FTR. FTR and Hathaway proceeded to insult the fans.
- Andrade El Idolo defeated Angelico
- Eddie Kingston & Ortiz defeated Grizzled Young Veterans (James Drake & Zack Gibson). Following the match, Kingston gave a promo thanking the fans for being so fun and supporting pro wrestling.
- Marina Shafir defeated Zayda Steel
- Trios match – Don Callis Family (Josh Alexander, El Clon, & Kyle Fletcher) defeated SkyFlight (Scorpio Sky & Top Flight (Darius & Dante Martin)). Prior to the start of the match, Don Callis came out to be on guest commentary. Following the match, Konosuke Takeshita came out and confronted Fletcher. Takeshita hugged Fletcher and ignored everyone else in the ring.
- Megan Bayne & Penelope Ford defeated Viva Van & Daniella Kamela. Following the match, Marina Shafir got into the ring and joined Bayne and Ford. This led to the Timeless Love Bombs (“Timeless” Toni Storm & Mina Shirakawa) & Luther coming out to confront them.
- AEW National Championship #1 Contender match – Jungle Jack Perry defeated Anthony Bowens. Prior to the start of the match, AEW National Champion Ricochet came out to be on guest commentary. Following the match, Perry and Ricochet brawled to close out the show
