Josh Alexander on His Upcoming “Dream Match” Against Kenny Omega
A recent episode of the Busted Open Radio podcast featured Josh Alexander as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Alexander’s thoughts about his upcoming match against Kenny Omega at tonight’s AEW Dynamite show in Orlando, Florida.
“I mean, I’m very excited. This is one of the reasons why I came to AEW. I’ve been chasing this match for the past 10 years. It’s been something that’s been on whatever you want to say — my dream match list, my bucket list. Someone I’ve had a bunch of respect for. I’ve followed his career from DDT through New Japan, everything he’s done. Like, I was at Ring of Honor shows in Markham, Ontario watching this guy wrestle in the early 2010s and stuff like that. I think he’s been amazing.
And as a Canadian wrestler, I look at other Canadian wrestlers as I’m following their footsteps. I idolize the Bret Harts, the Owens, all these people, the Edges, the Christians. And I think Kenny Omega is just another in that lineage of great Canadian wrestlers that have gone out into the world and made a name for themselves. Now I’m doing the same. I gotta walk in those footsteps and I gotta walk right through him. And tonight I finally get my opportunity, so I’m psyched.”

Queen Aminata Neck Injury Update
As noted before, Queen Aminata has been out of action for AEW since this past November due to a neck-related injury.
Aminata recently released a new vlog on her official YouTube channel. One of the topics discussed included Aminata providing an update on her recovery from her neck injury.
“The good news is I feel a lot better. Even Doc noticed that. The bad news is I have to do my MRI in order for me to start bumping in the ring. Actually, it’s not such bad news. I’m excited, but I’m also nervous, I’m not going to lie.”
Aminata also gave her thoughts about this being the worst injury she has suffered since joining AEW in regards to how long she has been out of action and the support she received from some people during her recovery.
“Since I signed with AEW two years ago, I haven’t had any bad injury that took me out for so many months like this one. And throughout these few months, or few weeks I should say, some people checked on me and a whole lot of people didn’t check on me. So make sure you know who your friends are and make sure you support them, too.”
