As noted before, this past Monday’s WWE RAW 1-Year Netflix Anniversary show in Brooklyn, New York featured NXT talent Je’Von Evans officially being signed to the RAW brand. This segment was notable for taking place during a commercial break during the show.
WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that Evans’ segment on the show caused some confusion backstage over his signing taking place during a commercial break spot and not on the actual show itself. Those spoken to reportedly stated that this issue did not change their view of Evans’ potential as a big star for the company.
In regards to the reason why Evans’ contract signing segment took place during a commercial break, Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp reported that the current rumor based on those spoken to is that many segments on this past Monday’s show ran longer than expected causing Evans’ segment to be moved to a commercial break spot. Sapp reported that this is something he has yet to confirm from his sources.
It was reported that other NXT talent reportedly will be signing main roster deals soon as well. Among those expected to be signed and called up soon includes Oba Femi.
