This past Thursday’s TNA Impact! show in Garland, Texas was notable for being Impact! premiere show on AMC. This show was also notable for the mostly negative online reception to the quality of the show over several issues including the overbearing amount of ads that aired, general lack of in-ring wrestling and matches, and poor production.
Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp reported in a recent Q&A article that several TNA talents spoken to were “very pessimistic and realistic” in regards to how the AMC premiere show came off.
Sapp reported that some talents spoken to stated that they didn’t think the general audience understood the hurdles TNA faced with last week’s show and that some staff had “some understandable excuses.” These hurdles and issues involved several talents and staff not being able to attend the show due to work visa issues.
Sapp also reported that the general reaction from TNA talents spoken to was that most of them believed that the AMC premiere show “wasn’t a good show” but some others will make the public claim that the debut was the type of show that TNA “needed” to do for their new audience on AMC.
