Backstage Update on WWE’s Current Plans for El Grande Americano After Chad Gable Makes Return from Shoulder Injury

As noted before, Chad Gable has been out of action for WWE since this past June due to a torn rotator injury and surgery. During Gable’s time away from injury, Ludwig Kaiser has been portraying the El Grande Americano character that was first portrayed by Gable.

WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that WWE officials currently have plans for Gable to make his return from injury during Royal Rumble 2026 week later this month in Saudi Arabia.

In regards to the status of the El Grande Americano character, it was reported that those spoken to stated that WWE officials currently do not have any plans for Kaiser to stop portraying the character once Gable returns. It was reported that WWE officials also currently have no plans to move Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate from their current roles portraying Bravo Americano and Rayo Americano for the Los Americanos group.

Sean Ross Sapp reported that his sources stated that WWE officials have held creative discussions regarding how to reintroduce Gable into the mix and integrate him and possibly The Creed Brothers (Julius & Brutus Creed) into the Americanos storyline.
